Dreams of "Opposite Land"

I saw the movie "2016" this afternoon at a Westminster theater complex.  The film could be better titled "My Take on Dreams of my Father".  Before we ever got there I knew troubles lay ahead.  We were talking about rising gas prices and slated to go higher and so I said "They are just using the Wisconsin pipeline as an excuse for all of them to jack up prices immediately even though their own gas has not gone up in price" to which Judy said, "Well you know no corporation wants to raise their prices because it's a major disorganization and adjustment problem for them".  She went on to say "It's all because President Obama has shut down the oil wells".  In the movie there was talk about how President Obama had closed down all the wells in the Gulf and in other locals, all while subsidizing oil exploration around the world in totalitarian countries like Venezula.  One of the queerest early scenes was this guy from India they interviewed who went to Dartmoth and joined a conservative club and later joined the Reagan administration.  He responded in a hostile manner when some white hippy or something said what a groovy place India was with all it's spiritual liberation.  The guy went off on a tyrade about arranged marriage and no economic oppertunity like in America.  But his big thing, and a recurring theme of the movie was Colonialist - - GOOD  - - exploited pesants who want to be liberated - - BAD.  The Colonialists are the good guys throughout this movie.  Obama's father met his mother while she was majoring in Russian in Hawaiiai, and there is another strange story there.  Hawaiiai is a hotbed of political radicalism you know.  Because there is this movement there that William Mc Kinley illegally acquired the Hawaiian islands in 1898 and many in Hawaiiai now say that Hawaiiai isn't really part of America.  Remember that factoid for later.  Of course Obama's father had five wives and all sorts of offspring.  But the parents divorced and Obama's mother married Lolo or something- and went to Indonesia.  Of course she steeped her young son in the values of Communism, and she also kept the vision of his biological father alive over and above his present step father.  They said that single parent kids either villainize their biological fathers but sometimes the opposite happens for instance if they are killed in War, and then they make some kind of a Super Hero out of their fathers, which is what Barry Obama did.  And then his step father comitted the ultimate act of betrayal by becomming a capitalist and then his radical mother divorced him.  But first she sent little Barry off to Kansas to live with his grandparents to keep him away from his now bourshwah stepfather.  Then Obama went to Hawaii and came under the mentorship of a Frank Davis, who was a radical and Obama was now in his teenage years and vulnerable to this kind of propaganda.  Then he studied at Columbia where he met this other mentor named Seid- - who was another radical who hates America.  Of course they had the brother in law of Obama on who still lives in a hut in Kenya.  They go on to say that is Kenya had stayed under the British jack boot them would have "continued to prosper" because once upon a time Kenya was as well off as places like South Korea and Chile and Singapore but then after they won their freedom (all that anti coloniest fever) they slid into the economic toilet.  But the brother in law holds no grudge against Obama for not supporting him because "Obama helps the whole world now".  They interviewed  another anti US old black radical in Kenya who defended Obama's mother.  They report later in 1982 how Barock Obama wept at his father's grave and lingered at the grave "until the Circle was closed' and he "knew what he had to do".  They then used an interesting phrase against Obama.  They said that the image of "the easy going police Black man" plays well with Whites and "deceives them" because everybody knows "blacks aren't really like that".  Then they talked of more recent developments and how this President is sinking the country in a sea of debt.  On the way home Judy said 'You know everybody knows this economic recovery is completely bogus, and those who say it's a recovery are just plain lying to you".  My response to this is that 29 consecutive rises in employment and job creation doesn't lie.  Stock prices are up and profits are up.  One time months ago I remarked about the high CEO salaries these people are getting now.  Judy responds "They deserve every penny because I know how much pressure they are to do their jobs well".  The Movie also said what a bad thing it was that we got rid of Quadafi because he was the good guy and those who replaced him were Moslem radicals so of course Obama supported them.  Just now on the Mc Laughlin group Pat Buchannon echoed these sentaments by saying that Assad of Syria is really "a good guy" because he is 'protecting the Kurds and other minority groups from the Suni radicals".  It takes all kinds.  Pat lives in opposite land too, I guess.  The whole tea party is so fucked up the butt they don't know which end is up.

Neil Armstrong died today at age 82.  He was born in Ohio and did the usual build the model airplane in the basement routine.  He got his pilot's license at age sixteen and became a combat Airman in the Korean War two years later.  He's actually only a few years younger than Dad was.  Of course you all know they had computer glitches just before landing on the moon.  But unlike Rush Limbaugh they were professionals and kept their anxioties to themselves.  Then Aldren or whatever had to fly the lunar craft away from a dangerous bolder field into a pile of lunar dust.  Then when they landed here Armstrong announced "Tranquility base here, the Eagle has landed."  That occurred on a late Sunday afternoon when the moon was not yet a first quarter moon on July 20, 1969.  Neil Armstrong was a modest fellow who never tried to capitalize on his hero status and never charged for signing photographs, but quietly retired to a teaching carrier.  And so today we say a final good-bye to one great American hero - - Neil Armstrong.

Hurricane Isac today plowed through Cuba and is crossing the Florida Keys.  The storm only generated twenty foot waves around Cuba.  We get eight to ten foot waves here when a storm is passing by a thousand miles away.  Our geography is such that a half a mile in from the water you are in excess of a hundred feet above sea level in most cases because of our coastal bluffs.  It's hare for we west coast people to envision the State of Florida, which has major cities only a few feet off the water.  Some computer models have Hurricane Isac passing even closser to Tampa Bay than first thought.  The gulf water in 87 degrees.  The storm is expected to regain its speed and attain Hurricane status and reach a level two status when passing by convention town a few hundred miles to the right.  The right punch of hurricanes is the strongest.  Schools will be closed in the Tampa area in anticipation of the storm.

The Los Angeles Dodgers just concluded one of the most major player trades of all time- - with the Boston Red Sox.  A total of nine players were traded one way or the other, and they say the Dodgers are getting the better end of the deal for it, and shelling out a lot of cold cash to do so.  Of course the Dodgers were swept in their latest series here with the SF Giants.  People from the Federation say they are not surprised.  The LA Dodgers are now down three games to the Giants, but they've still got plenty of time.  Auto racing is in ABC now instead of their usual game shows.  We will be switching to another blog heading for our next several postings, and I'm thinking it will be "Cosmic Tides" but I'm not absolutely certain of that.  I'll have to check, but it will be one of the dark blogs.

What We Need Is A Larger Vision

I have often said that a complaint against Christianity I have is people like Neil of KFI who are constantly telling their listeners "Your God is too BIG".  It's the "Who do you think God is anyhow - - Superman? approach to religion.  They want a God they can control.  One they can put on a leash and walk around and show off every Sunday.  Fred Price himself has even used the term "Control" in reference to a name for God, which is vaguely blasphamus in my book.  I may not believe in Him but at least I have reverence for Him.  Preachers are loathe to do what they claim to want their perisheners to do and that is that the Idea of there being a Force that's bigger than themselves.  And the idea that they don't have full and complete knowledge of God equivelent to a colonosopy, they find positively heritical.  So the idea that we should love broader concepts such as Society, Country, Mankind or that dreaded term on the Rush Limbaugh show, Planet Earth, horrified them.  And they would never use a word like Cosmos, which to my way of thinking is "the larger community of the entire Universe".  Such terms put the clerical community very much ill at ease.  There was a Black caller on the Randy Rhodes program this morning, who said so many right on things it was downright amazing.  The topic of dominionism came up.  This is the idea that the perfect Government will be instituted by Man, with no need of divine intervention.  While not outright endorsing dominiomism, Neil Savedra said in reference to such cosmic events as Jesus coming back that, "Since it's the talk of Last Things, it should be studied Last (or preferably not at all).  This is in keeping with Neil's other teaching that Jesus' words about "blessed are the peacemakers' and "turn the other cheek" are not for our time because this is the age of War, and we will always have War.  So he hath said.  To paraphraise the dope addicts' version of a Jesus story, "I will follow you wherever you go but first let me go back home and pick up my supply of Heroin".  The rich person like Sheldon Addelson would say "I am willing to become a Christian- - - but don't make me give up the idea of Perpetual War.  That's how I make my money.  From these examples it's clear that many Born Again Christians are freaking hypocrites.  I thought that Mike Meloy was in error the other night when he proclaimed that this whole right wing push was Fundamentalist Christian generated and they want to institute their own version of Talliban rule and Sheria law.  My response would be to him, "That's not their thing.  They are far less concerned about the RED blood of the cross but rather the Green of filthy lucre".  You know that.  But the black lady went on to discuss the whole idea of a larger Vision for this country like early generations used to have.  Even in the late middle ages - - Archetects were preparing to build grand new buildings and grand new boulivards - - many of which survive in Europe today.  Builders of the great Cathedrals of Europe clearly were not thinking of the next quarter's profit and loss statement as corporations are now obsessed with today.  They can't see beyond the end of their nose or beyond the next accounting period.  All they care is being able to present a good report at the next corporation board meeting so they will be retained as CEO another year.  They claim to want "Religion" in everything.  These people are "very religious" as the people in Athens were, whom St. Paul visited.  But they knew nothing about "The truth of the gospel".  For instance these politicians would never go for "Souls to polls Sunday" like they have in numerous Black churches.  Now they are making it illegal for Blacks or anybody to vote in such a manner, at least in Ohio.  They will put their foot in their mouth and flip flop all over the map, telling lies that "those in the know" (those who get the secret "Dog whistle code) know to be a lie, and they just grin- - but Romney and Ryan will try to get away with telling these falsehoods about what they really believe to the American people on topics such as Medicare and women who are raped.  Woman are raped twice you know.  First by the perpetrater himself, and then, the much longer Rape process, by the government itself.  People like Paul Ryan would like to prolong this second Rape process in his limitations on Planned Parenthood funding by the Obama administration.  Black people are a lot smarter than White people give them credit for.  We may never know the truth about the OJ murder case.  I think the best theory is that OJ was trying to protect his son.  But Blacks sensed intuitively that the crime psychologically "didn't hang together".  The Claims that Christ Darden perported to prove- - - were never established.  No psychologist - expert or otherwise - - was ever called to testify in the OJ case.  They believe, not without evidence, that OJ simply didn't "act like a man who was guilty" in the hours either before or after the murders.  This is why Mitt Romney has a zero percentage approval rating among Blacks.  Seeing how it's a three percent margin of error, his rating among Blacks could actually be a negative three.  You'd have to invent some new kind of number to cover that case.

Mal Evans has a saying that "70 AD was judgement day for the Jewish People".  None of us, or no sociatal entities among us- - ever knows when our own 'Judgement Day" will come for us.  But we know that not only to the victors go the spoils but "To the Victors goes the power to write the History. Just as the Jews didn't like their right up by people who had vanquished them, so the Tea Party won't like the write up by the people who succeed them in history, after they themselves go down in flames, which they most certainly will, and hopefully, soon.   The Obama administration need not have any apprehensions about a Civil War, because people will be climbing over each other to get out of the Tea Party stadiums where they had congragated in hopes of a victory rally.  Their own sense of self disgust and shame will drive them away quickly.  They like St. Peter in the Bible will say "I never knew you".  Of course as you know I talk about things like other dimensions that may well Exist but we have no way given the perameters of Science- - to prove it in our current state.  But be not lulled- - this is not a statement of Faith.  That's THEIR department.  It isn't Faith- - but keeping an Open Mind - - and also a sense of objectivity in dealing with the Unexpected when and if it should come along.  Everyone has their own Judgement Day, when merely saying "I'm sorry" will no longer cut it.  Gabriel has hers this week on "Days of our Lives".  People who jerry-rig accounting figures to generate a rosey picture will only have to face the music in following quarters.  They aren't fooling anybody including themselves.  The Tea Party is like the "Bonnie Lockhart" of Days of our Lives.  She wants to tie the knot with her man before he gets wise to what she's all about, only to find that by then it is Too Late.  But if we elect Mitt Romney we just may have pissed away our last chance at reestablishing Freedom and Civil Liberties once more in America.  That Marine who was locked up wasn't all that far from the Truth you know.  America is in peril.  And President Obama is more Bush like than even his clossest friends will admit.  Because there are certain things his friends can't explain about Him, such as why he has furtelizer spikes stuck into him every week or so from meiacle grow.  Just consider this posting a wake up call.  I'm not sure how many more of they we'll be able to give you before The Powers that Bee ring the buzzer and announce "Your Time is up".

It's Been a Busy News Friday

The latest news from Tampa Bay is that the Convention schedule has been dramatically revamped.  It used to be that Anne Romney would be giving the major speech Monday night in praise of her husband.  But they have changed that pushing up the schedule two days and having Mitt Romney nominated on Monday, skipping all the preliminary stuff.  Now they are saying that Hurricane Isac will not score a direct hit on Tampa Bay, but my experiance is that most of the time if they err in their forecast they err to the left, and the hurricane usually hits a little to the right of where they say it will.  Of course it will be the windward side of the storm that will punch Tampa Bay.  Meanwhile Scott Walker's role in the convention is being scaled way back because of his implemented policies failing to add jobs in Wisconsin.  Wisconsin lost 1,300 jobs last month in Wisconsin.  Meanwhile they say a lot of people in the State aren't even that fermiliar with Paul Ryan because he represents just the one House district.  They said that Wisconsin has voted in the democratic collum every year since 1988, and personally I see no indication that this year will be any different.

Now Mitt Romney has a new problem, and that one has to do with remarks he made about education and "scaling the department of Education way back" and also his saying "Small class sizes are not relivent in terms of student performance.  This is in the light of a major speech the President made on education last week in Ohio.  Eisenhower says that for every battleship produced you take away money from housing, or food for the poor, or education, or all sorts of different things.  The same is true for tax cuts for the rich.  If they come at the price of X number of school teachers being fired, Stephanie Miller wants to know when school teachers became the villains?  Back in Michigan- - Mitt Romney is doing "dog whistle' speech to all the discredited Birthers out there when he said, "This is the city where Anne and I were both born, and I was born at this hospital and Anne was born in that one over there, and nobody wants to see my birth cirtificate because they know full well where I was born".

Lance Armstrong has officially had his seven medals for winning the Tour de France from 1999 to 2005, officially stripped, and Armstrong will not appeal that ruling.  Of course Sixty Minutes broke the blood doping story months before the governments even took action.  We had been told things such as Armstrong being blessed by being born with an abnormally large heart with a high blood capacity.  While this level of punishment for an individual may be appropiate, I don't think the stripping of Pennsylvania State of all of its sports records since 1998 is at all appropiate for what one bozo did in a locker room.  I believe the student body and alumni more broadly, have every right to resent this Ruling.

Well it seems that FOX officially "outed" the name of the Navy seal in division six or whatever that was the one directly responsible for doing in Bin Laden last year.  As it turns out this Seal had written a book telling his whole story as to just how he did it.  But this Seal was already in trouble because people suspected he was revealing classified information.  He wrote his book under a psudonym just to be safe.  But FOX news has revealed his real name, and so it could be that both FOX news and the Seal himself are in trouble. You know there are a lot of books on the market now that are best sellers often on the most absurd of subjects.  So it's ashamed that we may be denied an edifying firsthand account of a major national triumph such as the taking out of Bin Laden.  Surely the marine could have checked for clearance of his Material.

One Marine was thrown into a mental institution for "evaluation" for 72 hours or whatever, because of an entry he'd put in his Facebolok account.  I was just alluding to scenarios such as this, but I hadn't yet encountered this particular story.  I guess the government must monitor such entries closely.  Anyhow the Facebook entry said, "I have personal knowledge that the 9 - 11 attacks were an Inside Job by the Government, and that President Obama has secret plans for a one world banking system, and that the country is sliding rapidly into a state of Corporate Fascism which will rule everything".  He then said that "This battle must be waged by somebody and if there is no one there to help me, than I shall have to wage it alone".  Mike Meloy points out that- - this is a FAR less insane entry than the routine babbelings of tea party leaders like we saw yesterday in Texas - - about armed rebellion.  It's the tea party who is really insane but as I have darkly suspected myself, we're getting to a state where the Inmates are running the Assylum".

Mitt Romney's $250 million fortune is largely a black hole: Aside from the meager and vague disclosures he has filed under federal and Massachusetts laws, and the two years of partial tax returns (one filed and another provisional) he has released, there is almost no data on precisely what his vast holdings consist of, or what vehicles he has used to escape taxes on his income. Gawker has obtained a massive cache of confidential financial documents that shed a great deal of light on those finances, and on the tax-dodging tricks available to the hyper-rich that he has used to keep his effective tax rate at roughly 13% over the last decade.Today, we are publishing more than 950 pages of internal audits, financial statements, and private investor letters for 21 cryptically named entities in which Romney had invested—at minimum—more than $10 million as of 2011 (that number is based on the low end of ranges he has disclosed—the true number is almost certainly significantly higher). Almost all of them are affiliated with Bain Capital, the secretive private equity firm Romney co-founded in 1984 and ran until his departure in 1999 (or 2002, depending on whom you ask). Many of them are offshore funds based in the Cayman Islands. Together, they reveal the mind-numbing, maze-like, and deeply opaque complexity with which Romney has handled his wealth, the exotic tax-avoidance schemes available only to the preposterously wealthy that benefit him, the unlikely (for a right-wing religious Mormon) places that his money has ended up, and the deeply hypocritical distance between his own criticisms of Obama's fiscal approach and his money managers' embrace of those same policies. They also show that some of the investments that Romney has always described as part of his retirement package at Bain weren't made until years after he left the company.

Shooting incidents are never in short supply.  If you want to wait before acting on a gun bill for a time "when we haven't just had a mass shooting story",  you'll have to wait a long time.  In yet another shooting incident, a man in New York shot four people near the Empire State building today.  But what is disturbing about this story is that - while the cops "took him out with one shot" - - others disagree saying that innocent bystanders on the street were shot in police crossfire.  It's funny how people make decisions involving lives of others for a long time like 'It's OK if we have collateral damage".  Last night on a program they had this female surgon who amputated the leg of a little girl who'd been in a horrible accident without permission of the family.  You know- - what if that lady doctor had to spend as many years in the Afterlife with only one leg- - while the rest of the crowd had angel wings and were flying around and she had to go through x number of years in a hobbled state.  If God were really a just god, such punishments and retrobutions would be routinely meted out.

This next story is one where I'm tempted to attack Bill Handel from the right, which is unusual for me.  We know how Bill Handel's favorite pasttime is Immigrant bashing.  Therefore I was surprised when Handel labeled this law suit by an ICE agent as "crazy".  There is an ICE border agent who is filing a law suit against President Obama saying that he "cannot be forced to violate either the constitution or the laws of the federal government to please an illegal action by this President".  It seems that President Obama isn't demanding proof of ellegability for people whom the Dream Act applies to.  It has also had been alleged by this ICE agent that presieent Obama has been pulling a lot of border agents off their posts in some major cut back or border agents.  If you want an "arrest deferment" till after  you get an education- - "If you think you qualify they'll accept you".  Bill Handel then talked about the local DA where a guy had his car stolen - and he'd just bought it and it was a nice one and he was out a lot of money.  But the District Attorney decided on his own "We"re just not going to Prosecute because we have limited resources and there are bigger fish to fry".  Call me old fashioned but I believe if you swear to do your job "well and faithfully" than that's how you should do it.  I don't have a bit of a beef for a person filing such a suit on Principle.  Bill Handel said "This ICE agent's suit is obviously political".  I don't see it that way one bit.  Just because Bill Handel is political, don't assume that everyone else does things for as politically biased reasons as you yourself do something- - and there aren't people who stand on principle.

We also heard more from the Fork Report, where they use the 'Food, glorious food" theme that's apparently from the musical "Oliver", which I have never seen.  Of course for many years up through the end of 2003 it was obviously the Melinda Lee theme of her cooking show mid day Saturdays on KFI.  I guess they are having another of their Food and Wine festivals September first through third.  I wonder if sales of madera, a red wine, have risen since the Master Chef revealed that the secret ingrediant in a tasty dish was "madera" rather than port.

Blast from the Past -Aug 2008

But First let's hit the current news, which is pretty disconcerting today.  Some Texas judge is saying there will be a full scale rebellion among Texans if Obama is reelected president.  "It won't be just a hap hazard riot, but a full scale organized rebellion with the sanction of government officials here in Texas".  They seem serious.  Meanwhile Mitt Romney told a woman he'll take question but "Nothing that is in the news right now".  So there will be no questions about his taxes, or how he really feels about Paul Ryan's budget, or the whole Todd Akin thing or his real stance on abortion, or for that matter invetro fertelization, since it involves the death of furtelized eggs that aren't used.  One Radio comentator said this was the coming trend, for Reporters to "sell out" and not ask the real questions, in order to gain access to the candidate at all.  To me it's sick.  I'd rather not ask anything, and get others in my profession to follow suit.  There were two electrocutions today when this woman driver sheered off a fire hydrant and knocked over a power pole and was instantly electrocuted when she stepped out of the car.  Another rescuer approached the area barefoot and was instantly electrocuted.  Rodney King's autopsey came back today.  They said that he not only had a heart condition, but also that four dangerous drugs were in his system.  There was PCP, marijuana, cocaine, and alcohol, when he stepped or jumped into that swimming pool last June and drowned.  And on the Dr. Oz show we learn that one in thirty babies born to forty year old women- - are mongoloids, and one in twelve cvhildren born of 45 women are mongoloids.  That's an absolutely frightening statistic!  It sure beats the five percent elevation in risk from fifty year old men becomming fathers.

Today is jiinxy for me and I hope it's not the start of a trend.  The following material took place just prior of the Jinx of September first 2008 descending, and this jinx in effect lasted for two years, and at times I'm not sure even now it's lifted.  Today my watch stopped.  The other time I had a watch stop on Memorial Day of 2006 it signaled a turning point to the negative in terms of finances.  Also I burned my finger on the coffee maker reaching to turn it off, and now I'm getting a blister there.  We had that horsemeat stuff or whatever for dinner today.  We were supposed to have regular ground beef meat balls with barbecue sauce over noodles but we didn't.  I'm going to be out of money for a week starting tomorrow where I'm up a creek regarding cigarettes, and eventually I'll run out of coffee.  In terms of this flashback it's kind of a "let it all hang out" affair.  The soap opera references involve a guy named Max, who is a young man adopted by Sean and Caroline Brady so he's kind of Chelsea's blood relative, but I think they've had sex.  The Morgan was a girl who dated Philip Kiriacus, who is no longer in the series.  One will note in this report I seemed to have more spending money back then.

This is Wednesday August 27, 2008 after dinner.  I put the laundry out last night at nine though Denise did come in the night for Bill’s.  I had trouble getting to sleep and then I had a dream I’d gotten into some argument with Mom and Dad at company where I felt picked on.  Uncle Bob got involved somehow.  Bonnie fixed me a Romaine lettuce salad with balsamic vinegar dressing.  Then I went looking for a restroom because we were in this sprawling office complex but people were saying there weren’t any.  When I woke I had this gripping tightness in my anal muscles.  But it was one of these night spasums I get from time to time and after just sitting on the toilet it passed in time.  I then had another dream about company.  I was living in a rich person’s house and there were a lot of these girls about twenty over that weren’t especially attractive.  One time I came across a bunch of them in my bedroom and thought this might be my lucky day but more likely they were just looking at the architecture and nick nacks in the room.  One of the girls asked me about a picture that was hanging, but I didn’t know anything about it.  I’m not sure who I was living with in that house, only that I felt out of place.
We had corn flakes for breakfast and pancakes and bacon.  I got bacon also from Manfred and Yvon, which was good because I was really hungry and didn’t get filled up.  I didn’t go for coffee at the bakery till later.  When I got out of the shower it was 25 minutes to six and still dark.  I had three cigarettes before breakfast and just the one afterwards.  I did a blog for today at eight covering the convention.  I then lay down listening to Stephanie Miller and Thom Hartman at times dozing.  I went down for coffee snacks at 10:15 and had seconds.  There were few people.  Then I took the walk down to the ARCO station and got four packs of Waves.  The lady was really nice about it when I was momentarily dazed at what brand I was going to order.  We had hamburgers for lunch and it was quite a long wait for firsts, but we finally got seconds.
In the soap opera, now Marlena is rejection John Black’s professions of love for her and she seems to be making a play for Roman Brady, who is concerned about her but not in love.  Chelsea found out that the doctor and Kate were shaking up because Chelsea saw the text message on Kate’s phone.  Morgan thinks she saw her father making a run for it.  Someone is screwing with the TV stations right now and nothing works.  I had Randy Rhodes on at two for a while.  I went out about two for a Coke and a Pepsi, and misplaced a quarter and got another one and then found the first one between the bills and returned to give it back to her.  Mary Jane weighed me this morning and now I am down to 175.5 pounds.  That’s obviously about a seventeen year low, and a bit disconcerting.
Obama was nominated by acclamation in a real circus event.  I turned on CNN about two thirty.  I did not go down for afternoon coffee.  Hillary’s name was being seconded for nomination and other seconding nominating speeches.  Then there were the brief Obama nominating and seconding speeches.  They went right into a state by state rowcall.  For once you could see the state poles.  As the roster of states proceeded the speeches got longer and longer becoming absurdly verbose.  California passed.  When they got to New Mexico they yielded to Illinois who yielded to New York.  Hillary could be seen in the delegation and they gave her the microphone to move to nominate by acclamation.  Ohio and all those other states got cheated out of the right to make a speech in public.  Of course they announced what they’d do before they did it.
Last night that lady governor from Kansas spoke, and she had a broad smile.  Then it was governor John Warner of Virginia, who is running for the senate.  But there was a “black hole” or black-out in media coverage of the floor activity from sometime before seven to about twenty to eight.  They just filled the air waves with commentary bullshit.  I searched on vain all over the dial for any coverage.  At least two people spoke.  The governor of Massachusetts spoke and then the governor of Montana spoke and “gave a real stem winder”.  There were roomers Dennis Kassinitch spoke last night.  When I turned back to KCET the Hillary film was already underway, meaning NBC was missing that.  Hillary had to rush her speech because she didn’t get started till a quarter to eleven Eastern time.  She got off to a slow start because she had to thank the many little people who helped her including a bald woman with cancer who had Hillary written on the top of her head.  She finally found her stride and the speech was getting good but she had to end it because it was eight after eleven, Eastern time.  [two or three confusing sentences were deleted here]
I had Rush Limbaugh on and Hurricane Gustav may pre empt the Republican convention because we may have Katrina II in New Orleans next week.  And like Rush says, “All hurricanes that strike are really the fault of the republicans”.  I was less than entirely happy about the way the media covered the convention last night.  I had the computer off so CNN was not an immediate option.  Maybe tonight I’ll be smarter.
We had shake and bake chicken for dinner with cheese potatoes and mixed vegetables.  No seconds.  I haven’t gone for coffee yet.  They rang the bell the first time before four and rang it again about 4:12 while we were waiting for our food.  Nora was by about three during row call and she dusted and I moved my stuff.  There was a funny kind of stale smell in here after she had concluded.  The window has been open.
This is an overcast Thursday morning August 28, 2008.  It’s funny the things that pop into your brain when you first awake.  I was thinking of that time when Tom Leykis was talking about he was mad at his father for having so many kids that they had to move into a bigger house.  When Tom was eleven in the summer of 1967 he lived in the Bronx and went to all the Yankee’s games.  But when he was twelve his family moved to a big house out on Long Island and Tom was so lonely.  And he would hitchhike back into town to spend time over at his cousin’s whom he was good friends with.  I think some significant planet has moved into a new house today.  I feel different.  I was thinking on how I’d have to quite smoking to honor that fleece to God last May that is Obama actually won the nomination I’d quit smoking and do something else the very nature of prevents me from even bringing it up now.  Of course this time of year you always get that “summer is almost over” feeling because the days are so much shorter both on the evening side and the morning side.  We had oatmeal for breakfast along with toast and scrambled eggs and coffee.  Alma remarked about the below average temperatures.
I caught hurricane Gustav on the Today show before breakfast and Rush Limbaugh is right.  God is a democrat.  They are already making plans to evacuate the city of New Orleans days in advance of the storm.  Of course August 29th. is the anniversary of the storm- - and I’d like to confirm in my own writings.  This is the date that Mc Cain has chosen to make his Vice Presidential pick.  Talk about lasts,  August 29th. 1966 was the last time the Beatles played a live concert, and that was in San Francisco, of course.  It was seven years to the day that the Beatles were officially launched as a band.  A tidbit I didn’t share yet was it was August 29th. that Mona Best opened up the Casbah Club and George Harrison and bass played Ken Brown had just quit their band Les Stewart Quartet, and they ran up John and Paul and they formed the Beatles.  And of course, they have been a hit ever since.
I guess the question is do I have to say everything about last night twice, or can I use this material on my blog.  We’ll see.  It’s kind of funny how people are always talking about the South sides of town.  To listen to the media you wouldn’t even think towns had a northern half.  You hear of south Chicago, south Boston, and south Philadelphia, and south central LA.  Of course you know that Mom moved a lot when she was a child.  People seemed to move around a lot during the great depression looking for work or whatever.  She lived in south Illinois, south Indiana (there’s that word again) and she lived in Florida.  She also lived in Modesto, San Luis Obispo, and Julian, but that was back before NBC renamed the town as Allester.  One time she mentioned she moved back from Florida to Indiana and people remarked how she talked funny.  She had picked up an accent from living there.  And of course as you all know Marlon and Denise would make these trips to New Hampshire in the summer and come back with their accents “reinforced” sounding like Bobby Kennedy.  But I never saw them much after the end of summer 1962.  Of course there was that time in 1964 when me and Allan saw Denise and Susan, and Roger of course.  That was when the joke was going around “How is a girl like a frying pan”.  And my answer was “Well, if they’re like Susan it’s because they’re both flat”.  We’re missing Drive radio now.  The other day Drive had 1976 music but the trouble with that year is that 1976 is a year that’s pretty much been beaten to death on Classic Radio.  I guess we’re about heard all of the songs.
Last night I had CNN on the computer.  There were a lot of short speech.  Tom Dashell spoke and Jack Reed (?) from Rhode Island, and Evan Bygh from Indiana and one other quickie.  Bill Clinton spoke earlier than expected and I hadn’t yet gone out to get coffee.  Then I got coffee and when I returned John Kerry was speaking.  Both of them gave excellent speeches.  Then KCET cut out and we were into that media black-out period again so I switched the computer on again to CNN and they had some lady Iraqi veteran speaking.  Another key thing that they included hurredly was the actual nomination and voting for Joe Biden by the concention.  This was done very quickly with alcclamation votes.  Then there was that big build up to Joe Biden film, and then Joe Biden’s son spoke and then Joe Biden himself spoke.  He finished up at about five to eight and then Obama himself appeared at the convention.  Then I watched the “Bones” rerun.  I saw Venus for the second time this year.  The key is to get out there early before it gets completely dark, or it’s already gone.  I don’t mind commentary is there is still stuff you can watch on camera and they still have the music going so that you feel you are a part of it.  It’s when they cut away entirely that bothers me.
I did today’s blog just now and it wasn’t all that long.  If I’d had Clinton’s and Biden’s speeches recorded on tape perhaps I could post analyze them better.

Mike Papentonio - A Guy You Should Listen To

The Republicans are finalizing their political platform but be not deceived;  the planks in this platform were nailed down months ago and they are sticking to it.  What will be going on in the next week is just all that "official" window dressing.  This platform bars abortion in ALL cases, and that includes all forms of rape, even forceable ( ) and incest, and also the life of the mother in casts such as eptopic pregnency, where abortions have always been legal here in California.  This platform demands bringing back litteracy tests for voting, which the Supreme Court declared illegal decades ago, and also insists on photo ID's for all voters.  This platform pretty much signs off on the Ryan-Akin medical health care plan.  No matter what they say verbally any legal expert will inform you that what is written always supersedes verbal promises.  Romney and Ryan are trying to run away from this Republican platform but they are as it were wedded to it.  They want to eliminate mortgage interest deductions for the average home owner.  Of course you can't be reminded too often the Ryan economic plan drops Mitt Romney's federal income taxes to below one percent.  I am informed that Ryan's plan features and counts on the same medicare cuts in funding that are in the Affordable Care act.  These savings will save money for the consumer but also will prolong the life of medicare.  The thing is that Mitt Romney has virtually NEVER been on a regular press conference show like Face the Nation where he has to face probing questions for a half hour.  The debates will reveal that this Emperor has no clothes, because Romney will have to face something he's never had to face before- public scruteny.  The jump in the polls for Obama should be impressive in the days following the Democratic concention- - and by the time the official NFL season starts- - Obama could well be up double digits in the public oppinion polls, and he won't look back.  It was pointed out all the similarities between Paul Ryan and Dick Chaney.  Each will initiate tax policies tailor made to their business interests.  In Chaney's case it was the military industrial complex.  In Ryan's case it's Bain Capital because Paul Ryan's older brother is heavily involved with Bain Capital, just like Romney is heavily involved.  There is a never ending stream of speculations as to what happened with Mitt Romney's finances the ten years of income taxes we do not have access to.  Both Ryan and Chaney are strong, politically oppinioned right wing idiologs, who were picked by a weak Presidential Nominee of their party.  There can be no divergence of values between Ryan and Romney because as I say the Platform of the Republican party was written by the Tea Party months ago, and they are insisting on full compliance because there will be severe repercussions from the political base if they don't get it.

We had a lengthly except from George Washington's blog in the last posting.  Too often members of the medical profession say "You didn't see that", "You didn't experiance that".  In 911 there is a sea of eye witnesses whose oppinions are being ignored by the government because they contradict the official cover story.  It's not a difficult thing to determine one's sanity- - when it comes to reporting some unusual situation or threat.  First of all is he Sane in all other areas of his life?  Is his story open to questioning and scruteny and disection?  How does he respond to this challenge?  Does the story hang together rationally?  You can tell if it might be a lie if it seems overly rehearsed, or said word for word identically with every telling.  Does the story "pan out" in terms of psychological probability in terms of the human players in the story?  But now if Dr. Levy gets his way with his book, some residents here and at founders may be told 'You didn't write this" when it comes to rights to their own material.  This just dawned on me this morning.  Nobody thought of it for me.  People facing buy outs of energy discoveries are then told "You didn't intent this".  Judy told me with my book on August 31st of 1980 on Sunday evening of 'You didn't write your book" in essence.  She says "Of course you know that it was only the will of God that allowed you to even write the book".  She said these words in an angry and castigating way, as if she had some chip on her shoulder.  Farmers are told "You didn't grow this" because a few genetically altered seeds blew on to your property.  So often patients are told "You don't really feel that way", when clearly they've thought it through.  Corporations will tell wronged consumers "You don't want to do that" when they are threatened with law suits.  In the "tort reform" madness we are in I'm told that plantiff victoms of shoddy products lose their case 93% of the time.  One of the major things that attracted me to scientology was their antipathy to psychiatry.  I feel somewhat differently now about psychaiatry but still- - - my family abused and distorted every medical term in the book to evade their own culpability.  Certainly the scenario laid out in that George Washington's blog is scarey.  Nobody wants to think "the government is after me".  But they say to turn a liberal into a conservative all he has to experiance is being mugged or robbed.  May I suggest "if it hasn't happened to you" and it has NOT happened to me, either.  we're in no position to Judge.

People want to know if the Rolling Stones song is true about "Someone says that somehow there is something more to pay - - for sins that we comitted yesterday.  I told you Christianity could be summed up in the slogan "It is NOT a question of Sin".  I did a posting on this.  It entirely about whether or not you are Chosen, regardless of your state of "Sin".  In fact if you're read my stuff you know I don't believe God as Christians think of him even exists in a Moral sense.  Something else occurred to me today in terms of slogans.  "It's not a question of Resurrection".  Because guess what.  The same people who invented Christianity were alive when they began telling their Story, and they were alive at the end of it.  Nobody died.  Just like Stephano on Days of our Lives never died.  It was about a fake murder so the perpetrator could work out his own particular revenge fantasies.  It's like Hitler's burning of the Reikstag in Germany and blaming the Jews.  We talked about karmic gravity and how it is a Universal forse and magnitude of the Ego involved- - doesn't matter.  But in keeping with physics principles, Big Egos are harder to detu or tempt into "sin" than little Egoes.  In like manner when a Big Ego falls, it's a lot harder to "turn him around" than it is a little Ego.  But you people may have a lingering question I'd like to answer now.  "If the big ego is next to the little ego- - - how then can you gain "karma points" just by being bigger?  It's kind of rescaling in Sketch.  In other words when you down tune guitar strings- - it's like slowing down the tape on play back- - and the accoustics mates the perportionally larger instrument needed to make THAT sound.  But the kicker is that since karmic gravity does not accordingly "re scale" if you draw it out geometrically- - you are higher up in the funnel now than you were.  Your karmic sin gravity is less.  The down side of this, of course is that your "fuel tank" is way down- - and if you have to make any sudden accelerations- - you could find yourself wanting.  It's kind of like the Smallville principle with mass and time and how they are connected.  I told you I learned this mass and time connection while watching "The Flash" and no that is not a streaker on TV - - at least not that kind.  By the way neither mass nor time has ontological supremicy or "hegemony".  They both have equal status.  Anyhow this principle I laid out here is kind of the same thing.  Since there is one variable that DOESN'T change- - - then everything else changes. Capish?   I would also like to make a tiny modification in my use of the word "ontological".  I said that when an object vanishes from our Universe- - - we can't see it and for all scientific purposes it has ceased to be part of OUR Universe or "event horizon".  I said it still had "ontological existance".  Perhaps a better word there would be "objective".  And in case you are wondering- - All Provable things are Objective- - - but not all Objective things are Provable.  So grab Lisa Simpson's notebook and review your venn diagrams.  It's almost dinner time.  I'll be back with one more paragraph.

OK I'm back and don't look too hard at your watches- - that is the correct time.  We eat early in these parts.  We had taco salad with some kind of reddish meat (?) (sauce) refried beans, lettuce, cheese, and sour cream.  I only mention the meat because the new guy said his doctor told him not to eat red meat, and he showed somebody some form.  (?)  I don't know.  Dora was by with generous seconds and there was tapioca pudding for desert.  There were a couple more remarks more properly part of the previous paragraph but I wanted them separate and away from the rest of the paragraph like that form Arlo Guthrie had to fill out for his pre induction physical.  Those remarks pertained to 'Have you ever been arrested for some crime which might make you unfit for military service?"  Anyhow we were taloking about soul resonance frequencies and I said longer waves were better because they had more energy and greater penetration power through obsticles.  Well, you could picture the Ego as tethered to the 'Universe' swinging around it- - - so one could say we were all "tethered to the Universe" so people speak of karma being "giving back to the universe" and such, and may not be wrong at all.  Of course I'd also like to correct a thirty old misimpression I may have inadvertantly given about me and Mark Campbell being at the Griffith Park Observatory together.  Actually in May of 1981 we were at the LA Museum Complex in Eepoxition Park together.  We were never at Griffith Park together.  We just both happened to have been fascenated by this display with the orbeting silver balls around the funner spiral.  It's a small distinction but I'll make it.

Sometimes things- - such as racial or gender or ritual barriers just get Dropped, and people wonder why.  I'll give examples.  Country Clubs two generations ago used to routinely exclude Jews.  Now the gender barrier om some country clubs is still being broken, hopefully without the tempest of contraversy surrounding the bit with the Jewish people.  Tarot cards used to contain an additional suit as opposed to Playing Cards, and they still have it.  It's called Knights.  But somewhere along the way it was just dropped.  For a while they dropped "Freshmen" as a year in high school.  But it was never really gone entirely because all of the nineth grade courses were still labeled with a "I" and sophomore courses were with a "II" ect.  Now the freshmen year is back.  They have decimated the second person in English and abolished most all of the words in the language to designate it, along with a lot of other very useful positional pronouns such as yonder.  In the book the Lottery, they dropped in the course of time a lot of the old long ritual which used to accompany the Sacrifice.  In the New Testament they have this favled "Love Feast" that used to exist among Christians before comunion was taken.  But too many people were getting drunk at it so they dropped it.  The Mormons dropped the polygamy doctrine.  Later they abandoned their "Mark of Cain" and the Black Priesthood prohibition.  Who is to say why certain items have been dropped.  In our own ZAC Theology we "dropped" one major item that had been around since the inception of the ZAC in September of 1976 back when it was still called the "Zionism Analisis Comittee".  Most of the Eagles theological library got wiped out.  Songs that still survive are "Too Many Hands", which is about Laura feeling uncomfortable around Calvary of Anaheim people.  "Hotel California" title song is about Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa.  And "Sad Cafe" is about the Palm St House where Zachery spent his first months of life.  You could throw in "Good Day in Hell" which could be about Laura's time at UC Irvina psych ward.  This was back in early 1981.  Really I owe all this to a question or remark that Jimmy Mc Culloch said to Burt Lombard about Mal Evans.  And then Mike Bloomfield reminded me that I was "feeding off of my own delusion".  That's all I needed to hear.  Mal Evans agreed the doctrine should be dropped so it was.

Will a Romney Adminis be "Pathalogical"?

Well we have Boucous of Blues for the Nation today.  Hurricane Isac by one computer model is slated to head straight tword Tampa Bay and the Republican Convention site next week.  They are anticipating every manner of anarchist protests and are also mapping out strategies for mass casualties should the worst happen.  Todd Akin will not be in attendance at the Republican concention.  Akins has refused to bow out of his Senate race despite major statements from twelve leading Republicans for him to do so.  On the Mississippi they are dredging the Mississippi River at Memphis and points south because they say at places the deepest point in the river now is only nine feet deep, about the same as most home swimming pools.  That ain’t much.  This is the worst drought since the ‘forties on the river.  One leading restaurant chain is not only cutting back salt in all their foods but taking the extreme step of removing the salt shakers from the tables.  In and Out Burger apparently is using lame cattle for their burgers – meaning animals that are unable even to walk on their own. today the glass ceiling was broken at Augusta Golf club because two women were admitted and former Secretary of State Gondelisa Rice was one of them and a North Carolina business woman, not bad looking, was the other one.  A few months earlier a female IBM CEO was refused membership in the Agusta club.  Now a father is sewing over custody of their six year old daughter because the six year old was sexually exploited in a beauty pagent.  .  Phyllis Diller died [yesterday] at her home in LA.  She was 95.  She was an icon of our ‘sixties generation.  She continued to work professionally up through 2002.  Rose O Donald had what she thinks was a heart attack last night and then Googled her symptoms.  That was the wrong move.  But today when she went to see a doctor today she had 99% heart artery blockage.   Wow!  That ABC camera man Artie Williams died over the weekend and they have mentioned that a lot on the local station.  He was apparently a big Black man who was friendly and everybody liked him.  He was dedicated to his job and had been working for Eye Witness for the past thirty years.  That sports guy got all choked up about it when he talked about how they were good friends.  .   They want to “drastically change the neighborhood” around U S C.  It’s the same old “money talks” story where rents get jacked up, and people are displaced.

This is the next day Tuesday August 21, 2012 and the air conditioning has not been working at all in here lately.  David Cruise had new, relivent information about the Anaheim Police Department and the campaign of deception they are now running.  They ran an internal memo that clearly stated that all protestors have been from the affected neighborhoods they have targeted for crack downs, and they named them.  I think they lied when they said Manuel Diaz was a “known gang member”.  But the police chief told the public that “outside agitaters” and other extremist groups are descending on the city of Anaheim, and the locals came crying to the police to beg protection.  This is a bold faced lie and the police chief knew full well it was a bold faced lie when he told it.  Now there will be a City Counsel meeting tonight- - if they actually have it.  And the truth can be aired.  Fullerton is also having a police related meeting tonight also.  I switched on Dr Oz about ten to four.  We went for dinner and a new fat guy with an effeminate face was sitting in John Darling’s seat.  The Oriental lady wasn’t there either.  You know how sometimes with Christians you feel crowded out of a conversation.  Well the new guy and John Powell had struck up quite a conversation.  Both of them spoke the same language as both of them are a little bit - - mentally fuzzy.  The new guy would ask questions about this place but then seemed to ignore me when I gave a direct answer.  He said that President Barock Obama was a member of the Bahai religion as is Joe Byden.  I told him I had never heard that before.  He also made allusions to having a tremendous amount of money and living in Beverly Hills.  He said “this dining room is hot” when the thing I noticed was that the dining room was cooler than about any place else in the building.   We had Salisbury steak with that tomato based sauce and the mushy rice.  The vegetables were mixed greenery that were crisper than usual.  We had applesauce for desert.  The new guy complemented the applesauce.  Then I took off to the store and bought a can of Nestcafe on Phyllis’ recommendation, and a thing of creamer.  I went to pay for them getting my six dollars ready and the guy says “three dollars” and was waving away more money.  I was puzzled.  I then deduced that he had misread the price sticker on the coffee and thought the jar was $1.49 rather than $4.49.  I made up a batch and I’d give it a “gentleman’s C”.  It was about what I expected, meaning not that great.  But it will meet my coffee needs and I have three more dollars than I figured I would.  I noticed one of the sugar canisters had been thrown out.  I guess it was low.  Accronis announced it was finished backing up.  Donnie had peanut butter sandwiches for us.

This Ian Mc Allister guy is virtually the Devil incarnate.  His latest prank, that is after abducting E J and threatening to slit his throat to see if his father would react, is the fact that his father, Stephano is alive.  That’s the oldest trick in the book, of course for soap operas.  This guy has a rap sheet of dirty tricks as long as your arm.  He wiped out every copy of the “trash can incident” on computers city wide.  He mugged Sammy and took her flash drive of the event.  He planted the story that E J was about to jump bail despite wearing an ankle bracelet.  He even hijacked the De Mira plane and had it engine running on the runway.  But it doesn’t stop there.  Of course he fixed it so that Brady was back on dope and then told lie after lie about it to everyone he saw, an a fruitless endeavor to break Brady and Madison up.  Then there is his sick Mia Copa before Kate’s eyes lamenting and saying “I never loved anyone but you Madison, I was only leading Kate on”.  Now it seems he knew about the letter of Alice Horton in the safe deposit box.  He altered the blood type report so that Elvis would not be seen to be Stephano’s son, creating a fake motive for a murder that never happened.  Now I guess he has Stephano in some kind of drugged out state.  The other part of his plan is that this secret coin states that Stephano’s father, Santo said that he wanted Ian Mc Allister to inheret half of the Di Mira wealth.  One of the few utterances of Stephano was “You bastard, you!”  Having a conversation with Ian of course might give you Déjà vu because talking to him is very much like talking to Mitt Romney, both are major sociopaths.  The other story line was that Dr. Daniel and Nicole found out about the death of Jack, which means that Jennifer is on the market for real this time.  But Nicole isn’t getting the message and is deluding herself into thinking she can possible compete with Jennifer.

Many psychologists and psychiatrists are good people, who are only trying to help their patients.   But the Nazi government substantially supported psychologists … many of whom, in turn, espoused extermination of the people they considered to be “racially and cognitively compromised”.  Soviet psychiatrists famously aided Stalin in applying fake insanity diagnoses to political dissenters.  The official explanation was that no sane person would declaim the Soviet government and Communism.  American psychologists created the American program of torture which was specially-crafted to produce false  confessions to justify U.S. military policy. And see this  And authoritarian American psychologists are eager to label anyone “taking a cynical stance toward politics, mistrusting authority, endorsing democratic practices, … and displaying an inquisitive, imaginative outlook” as worthy of a trip to the insane asylum. (Those traits may also get one labeled as a potential terrorist.)  As prominent forensic psychiatrist James Knoll – psychiatry professor at SUNY-Syracuse and director of a forensic fellowship program – writes in the Psychiatric Times:  When psychiatric science becomes co-opted by a political agenda, an unhealthy alliance may be created. It is science that will always be the host organism, to be taken over by political viruses…. [P]sychiatry may come to resemble a new organism entirely — one that serves the ends of the criminal justice system.  Even psychologists with good intentions can erroneously label people delusional simply because theythemselves make bad assumptions.  There is even a label for this – the “Martha Mitchell Effect” – defined as:    The process by which a psychiatrist, psychologist, or other mental health clinician mistakes the patient’s perception of real events as delusional and misdiagnoses accordingly.  The authors of a paper on this phenomenon (Bell, V., Halligan, P.W., Ellis, H.D. (2003) Beliefs About Delusions. The Psychologist, 6 (8), 418-422) conclude:  Sometimes, improbable reports are erroneously assumed to be symptoms of mental illness [due to a] failure or inability to verify whether the events have actually taken place, no matter how improbable intuitively they might appear to the busy clinician.  In other words, psychologists who haven’t taken the time to examine for themselves the claims of their patients will tend to label as delusional anything which they “intuitively” feel is improbable.  As such, psychologists and psychiatrists are just as prone to acting out their irrational prejudices as anyone else … unless they take the time to investigate and educate themselves.   Governments intur patients in psychiatric wards without due process of law.  As such, detention in psych wards on mere “suspicion” of posing a danger – without due process of law – is troubling.  For example, former marine Brandon Raub was just carted off and locked in a psychiatric ward for his allegedly “anti-government” Facebook posts.  AP reports today:  Police – acting under a state law that allows emergency, temporary psychiatric commitments upon the recommendation of a mental health professional – took Raub to the John Randolph Medical Center in Hopewell. He was not charged with any crime.

My, How The Mighty Have Fallen

NEW EXPANDED LATE AFTERNOON EDITION

In an age of instant flash drive and video tape replays, a course of action based on lies and deception is a whole lot harder to get away with.

At dawn my lover comes to me and tells me of her dreams.
With no attempt to shovel a glimpse into the ditch of what each one means.

Sometimes we are "tested" or "put on trial" not in the bad times, as one assumes, but rather- in the most auspicious times.

Expressing ignorance on a matter can be a most effective means of conveying a real put-down to your enemies, if you have the stones to pull it off.  My detractors lack the mental energy and creativity to even come up with a good insult, and so rely on more passive-agravessive means of achieving the same thing.

In the song America the Beautiful there is a line about, "Who more than self their country loved, and Liberty more than Life".  Could this line possibly be used as justification for making rape cases an exception to our abortion laws?  "Well, if the shoe fits - - - "

Some tea party Congressmen on a Republican fact finding mission to Israel were caught a few nights ago in some drunken orgy and one Congressman was swimming stark nude in the Sea of Galilee.  It isn't particularly good PR with this hypersensitive media and the Today Show featured it as their lead headline.  The congressman's name is Kevin Yoter of Kansas, and Paul Ryan has rebuked this group for their actions.  It's a little bit too reminicent of that drunken and sex outing Ted Kennedy and his nephew were on in Palm Beach on a "usual family Easter retreat" in 1991 that Rush Limbaugh talked about on his show for weeks afterward.  Meanwhile another congressman from Missouri was on TV over the weekend, Todd Akin, whom I've heard of- - said that in cases of "genuine rape" that the female body has a way of "shutting down" so that she can't get pregnent.  Of course some take pause at the word "genuine" used by a tea bagger republican.  Stephanie Miller or someone said that he must have human beings confused with ducks, because a female duck can put her vagina in the shape of a cork screw so that it can't be entered by an unwanted drake.  And apparently pregnency results from about one in twenty rapes of women or something.  Don't hold me to that figure.  Of course this interview was on a local Missouri TV station to bolster Akin's Senate campaign.  Now there are calls from even Republicans to drop out of that race, and political funding has already been pulled. These two stories indicate a tremendous ammount of "insensitivity" to a already hyped up public out there.

Just remember, Stu Baby, like Raphael have ways of suddenly showing up and wagging an accusing finger at you no matter how irrelivent you delude yourself into thinking he's become.  In terms of political campaigns remember the adage "The Stars don't lie" and this Monday August 20th the Republicans are finding that out.  But Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan both have themselves in more than there shares of trouble.  Ryan and his mother go to country clubs and spend thousands of dollars the rest of us don't have.  And they can't understand why they all shouldn't even have even MORE money from the government thrown their way under a Romney presidency while the rest of us languish.  But not even Paul Ryan was as whacko in the past as he is now.  He voted FOR the TARP bank bail-out, and he voted FOR the rescue of General Motors, despite Romney's statement of "Let GM go bankrupt".  The whole idea of Ryan being a "fiscal hawk" is further belied because he voted for an early two thousands "economic stimulus package" that President Bush was promoting ten years ago to get us out of THAT economic slump using words to justify his vote almost identical to the President's now, and back then you actually got the idea that Ryan cared about the down and out.  Via the magic of tape, we got to hear Paul Ryan's empassioned- - moving speech on behalf of TARP stressing how we are on an economic precipus on the verge of a major disaster, and he knew he had to vote conscience over politics because at the end of the day he had to go home to his wife and kids.  Of course Paul Ryan's family has benefited greatly from the government over the years in highway construction and defense contracts.  And now Ryan says he won't touch medicare for people my age and older.  But Stephanie Miller and Chris Little made the point that "If Ryan's statements plan as he is saying it now is put into effect, they will be doing ski condition reports in Hell before Ryan's plan ever sees a balanced budget- and as it was it would not be till 2040, if I am still even alive them.  (Hopefully I will be)  Ryan also voted for the infamous Medicare part D, which is one thing where Judy and I are actually in agreement, that it was a horrible idea.  Of course for Romney to endorse the Ryan economic plan at all means that Romney wants to pay between zero and one percent federal income tax in the future, something most voters would not take kindly to whether or not they ever see his past income taxes.  As to Ryan's great Medicare "salvage" plan- - if it's really as GOOD as he claims then we old folks should say "We cant wait.  We want some of THAT now", like a big bowl of tuti fruity ice cream that's dangled before us.  Now of course Romney is endeavoring to take the "bitter edge" off the Romney-Ryan position by saying that rape victims would be safe and free to abort their fetuses under a Romney administration.  This back-peddeling, while expediant, like ANY derivation from the Grover Norquist dictum, opens up the right flank to a scattering of the troops, particularly if old speeches are aired.

Meanwhile in Afghanistan- - it seems their government troops have killed ten of our men in the past week or so.  The President and Romney both better be careful about trying to appear hawkish and saying "Out government has implicit Trust in the current Afghan government".  Clearly anybody with a political spine would get out in front of this issue and say "This is why we can't have these indescriminate wars all over the world, leaping before we look, and getting into bed with the wrong governments.  I would advise any future President to think long and hard about assuming a foreign power would be our ally in a subsequent war- - with anybody."  If anybody has blood on their hands, it's our shoddy and undiscerning policy abroad in deciding whom we can trust and deal with.  But for Mitt Romney to say that "This President has blood on his hands when it comes to medicare" is a highly over-blown, not to mention all together inaccurate metaphor.  Don't you agree?  I don't think we have seen the last of the flip-flops, and next week at the Convention in Tampa Bay, the Republican Party has a fresh oppertunity to re-invent itself with a lot of Americans, if they so choose.

Celebrety news abounds.  Whitney Houston’s final movie ‘Sparkle” is out in theaters now and I’d kind of like to go see that because apparently the acting and showmanship is good on all sides.  The producer of smash movies like “Days of Thunder and “Top Gun” - - I have here Tony Scott if that’s right - - anyhow he committed suicide by jumping off the Vincent Thomas bridge in San Pedro, one of the architectural wonders of the LA area.  I’ve entertained fantasies like that myself in the past.  I thought the whole “macho bravado” stuff in “Top Gun” was over-played and it’s movies that showed back then in 1987 when our nation was not at war, that kind of “set us up” for when we did go to war in the ‘nineties.  He also Directed other famous non war movies.  Of course Directors are not the script writers and don't chose the plots.  Their job is to make the action really "hum" whatever is set before them.  This afternoon Phyllis Diller passed away at age 95 here in LA.  She was an icon of my generation, back in the nineteen sixties.  Then there is that story about how the California State legislature is trying to push through a bill that makes it illegal to give someone therapy for turning back to heterosexual from homoxexual.  I say this because research says the majority of homosexuals have dated and have had sex and many have even been married- - to a woman.  Noted Lezbian Tammy Bruce is a case in point who dated a cop and then broke it off with him and refused to give him back the ring.  Tammy obiously has a dim view of the institution of marriage.  Then you have Neil Savedra who appears to be all over the map- - - though the gay stuff about him seems to have been taken down from the internet.  But employing the ‘Harry Reid” principle, even with no hard information there,  I had previously gleaned  that Neil of KFI had shall we say “more intimate contact with the gay community than I’d consider proper”.  Evidence abounds that the gay lifestyle is an unhappy lifestyle, and one would, you think, be grateful to anyone who could rescue him from such a self defeating life style.  And finally there is the news that Scott Mc Kinsey died.  This is the guy who sang “Are you going to San Francisco”, which is enough to give his name cultural immortality.  The song was written by Papa John Philips of the M & P’s.  I thought perhaps some of my CMK friends had been in personal contact with Scott over the years but this morning FH denied any such contact by a CMK member.  I’m not sure I believe him.  (one of us has a problem)  and just one more little bit.  I didn’t know whether “Apache” was a Bajoran song or a Cortessian song- - and the guardians told me it’s Cortessian and the Bajorans has nothing to do with the song.  That settles that.
The Wikki leaks founder was speaking yesterday from the Equadorian embassy in England where he has been granted asylum.  I’d heard his name yesterday and didn’t know whether he was a violent criminal or embezzler or what.  Only that he was wanted all over the place and even England wants to extradite him.  Julian Assange appears to be his name, and he was speaking in a fine London accent.  I think Wikki leaks has shed a lot of needed light on many things improper that our government is doing.  But I get the feeling that if President Obama gets the chance hell prosecute him during the campaign to win brownie points.  It would be his “Sister Soldier moment” so to speak.  When push comes to shove this President really doesn’t care about the consciencious left.  My only departure from Wikki leaks’ actions would be in the matter of “outing” foreign agents and embassadors where current national security and lives are at steak.  I would hope that in the future Julian Assange would have the inner moral compass to know where to draw the line.  And by the way I saw the Steven Tyler rerun on Sixty Minutes last night.

You know Dr. Levy wanted me to write another paragraph piece.  All right, Dr. Levy I WILL write a paragraph.  How many of you know that Dr. Levy is a shallow man.  I didn’t say he didn’t show compassion or that he wasn’t generous; he’s mentally shallow.  You see the give-away in that single space paragraph “sampler” on “various scientific theories” I wrote him- - which I said is one of the poorest quality things I have written, and indeed many “bits” excerpted it have been rewritten – often more than once, to get it right.  Yet he praised it - -  but offering not one specific as to WHY he liked it.  He just said, “Oh, you talked about string theory in that piece”.  Well I had one sentence about string theory as a theory that Some scientists believe in.  He was talking about my letter last week to him that I couldn’t remember what I wrote.  He said “Oh, you wrote about colors- - and some stuff about God - - and you did some mental stream of consciousness stuff”.  Let’s hit the last one first.  I hit a number of topics I thought he and I BOTH cared about and I didn’t want to make it a wordy letter so I went at a conceise pace.  It was not a “stream of consciousness” or “mental free flow” or whatever.  The next thing was the bit on Colors, where clearly I am referring to changing font colors.  Anyone actually holding the letter in their hands would instantly see what I was referring to.  And as for “Stuff about God”  - - I don’t remember and STILL don’t remember what in that letter he could be referring to.  You know Dr. Levy will take a person’s weakest point and suggest he write about it.  In my case it’s this pie in the sky “hope for events in the rest of my life”.  Clearly right now I don’t want to talk about that because I see so little hope at the moment.  Hope is not something that can be ordered or mandated- - any more than Love can.  And may I suggest to Dr. Levy that if he really thinks that Hope is something we should have he should lead by example and show a little more of it himself, like have hope for the Economy and the Country at large, and not be among those who let out a cheer anything something adverse happens to the national presteige.  And as for the idea of the preachy introductory paragraph on Mental Illness he wanted to start his book with, I am even more averse to the idea than I was at the time.  In the first place I don’t believe the majority of people who live here are actually mentally ill.  Some may NEVER have been mentally ill.  We are people looking for an opportunity, and I thought that was his goal.  We don’t want to have some label on us and then he can tell his friends “Never talk against the mentally ill- - why - - some of my best friends are those wierdos”.  He wouldn’t put it like that but you know what I mean.  He kind of sees us all as trained dogs and he wants us to jump through hoops like write not only what HE wants us to write about but also HOW he wants us to write about it saying “try to use metaphors in nature”.  He wants a lot of little Dr. Levy’s out there endeavoring to be his clones, his minions.  What I wondered about is whether I lose the rights to my own writings and personal thoughts, by their appearing in that book.  As to the incident Arleen told us about last week- - including that story in the book would not only be pointless but counter productive.  You note I’ve never brought it up in Word.  But you have these shallow people in politics too.  That whole “put you all back in chains” quote took a few seconds.  What I’d like to know is “How long did they have to scour through a half hour speech or whatever to even find that quote?”  Yet it gets repeated dozens of times, as though it were THEE most Important item in Byden’s speech that day.  Only a really shallow person would think in those terms ignoring the major fact that what Joe Byden was saying was completely true- - about economic servitude of the 99%.

Footnote number one:  The whole idea Dr. Levy got that I "talked a lot about God" in my letter to him - - comes from a fundamental misunderstanding of the point I was trying to make about the inherent benefits of Deductive Logic, that can often be used by such professions as Private Investigators, Cops and in the legal community.  Here is the original passage in question. The thought just hit this afternoon of "Why investigate something for imperical deductive evidence that you have already established as indisputable fact through deductive logic?  I'm thinking about certain geometry problems where a smart person might say "Well just look at the diagram, it's OBVIOUS those two angles are equal".   There are times in life where your own error in investigating a Truth is only a hinderace and not a help.  But then again I suppose many religious people who substitute "God" for "Logic" would say the same thing about

Footnote number two:  Mike Bloomfield came forward as that "Scot Mc Kinsey leak" or the guy who was for decades in leazon contact with Scott Mc Kinsey's guardian angel, who is an Andromidan.

Footnote number three:  MIA COPA TIME FOR MARCUS  Missouri Senate candidates are not the only ones that get carried away in their attempt to make or justify a point.  Last week I was talking about weight loss and I said that a 200 pound person man metablizes no more calories than a man weighing 150 pounds.  This is wrong, obviously.  He has that many more cells to feed and all those cells are metabolizing energy.  I only said this because my own condition, which may not be medically normal- - indicates a seeming ongoing "calorie deficet".  I need to get myself medically checked out once and for all and stop letting my own personal life interfere with my medical objectivity.

Footnote No. 4: This is Monday August 20, 2012.  I just checked the moon calculations and it would seem that the night event in question was with quite a bit more than a half moon and in fact they said the moon rose at 10:30 PM that night, which would kind of make it a five-eights moon or something.
