Dear blogging world. I am typing this from a computer in Laguna Hills because my computer still is not hooked up to the internet as it hasn't been for the past week. There are a lot of comments I would like to make about President Obama and his poor performance at today's press conference today. There is also a page typed last Friday that will show up soon, hopefully this Thursday, and then I will be putting out new material perhaps later that same day.

TV Stations Go All Digital

As we look out over the dreary overcast one also sees a murky horizon when it comes to Digital TV Stations because ones that came in fine a couple of days ago aren't coming in now, such as channels two, eleven, thirteen, forty, and fifty-eight. Of course this move to digital television might have taken place twenty years ago because in 1988 there was a demonstration of Japanese digital technology, but that was done in analog, so the US thought they'd just leap-frog analog alltogether and go to digital. But now if it's raining you can't get a TV signal or that tree outside your window is suddenly blocking your reception. Of course they can "degrade" the picture by putting up to eight digital stations on one carrier. Hopefully other people haven't had my negative experiences of the past couple of days. The frequencies these new TV signals transmit at are inherently less stable and given to black-outs. Some analog stations still haven't gone off the air yet but run repeats of instructions for hooking up your station converter, half the time in Spanish.

As this writer suspected President Akmadenijab of Iran won re-election with 62% of the vote. Knowing the government in Iran over the previous twenty years, it's impossible to envision it happening any other way. Other people were holding out hopes that "the will of the people" and "dissident unrest" and "opposition parties" would surely win the day and at last we would have a sane ruler of Iran, who would work for peace rather than war. No, those of you who doubt my grim astrological projections won't be getting off that easy. The probability of nuclear war or something close to it, is just as high, if not now higher than it ever was.

THE FOLLOWING WAS TYPED JUNE 12, 2009

Well, like they said in the Alcatraz movie, “When the weather starts getting colder you know summer is on its way”. This June gloom rather than attenuating, actually appears to be becoming more pronounced with hints of drizzle in the air this morning. As you may remember it rained on the last day of school in June of 1967 but then ten days later the weather was really hot. There were a lot of trips to the beach during this period, as you know. I went to the bakery before breakfast for a large coffee. It seems that the analog TV stations won’t be going off until midnight rather than twelve noon. When they do I’m going to check 9, 13, and 40. Of course commentary on the TV changeover has dominated the news cycle this past day or so.

We had corn flakes for breakfast with a fried egg and cinnamon toast and just one coffee. Drive radio featured 1983. C-Span 2 featured auto dealers being driven out of business by the Obama policies and all this bankruptcy stuff. The closure of thest Auto Dealerships violates laws in several states but they’re doing it anyhow. Meanwhile on another C-Span station we are subjected to once again these anti tobacco bills where the FDA now will obtain control of tobacco production. This to me is an utterly absurd and unwarranted intrusion of the Federal Government into the affairs of a private corporation where it lacks jourisdiction. Philip Morris, the largest of the tobacco companies likes the bill because they are the largest company and are equipped to deal with the restrictions, and if its competitors are driven out of business it’s no skin off their nose.

David Carradine did not commit suicide but was murdered. The coroner has released his findings. Of course as you know he was found tied up and nude in Thailand. This is a horrible ending to the life of a legend. We hope his memory will be vindicated.

The LA Lakers won last night. The Magic led at the half 49 to 37 so I was surprised the next time I checked that station it was 57 to 55 Lakers or something. It was a close, hard fought game from then on. Last night I had dreams about getting in arguments and shouting matches with various people, but I can’t remember the details.

Wolfram will respond if you ask for a State Capital. It’s track record isn’t real good on “unsolicited questions”. Right now it’s almost time for Bernie Sanders.

They may stop adding ammonia to cigarettes if this bill passes because Thom has used the term “free basing” to describe making the blood more alkaline to speed the nicotine to the brain faster, and they have been doing this with cigarettes since the sixties to in Hartman’s words, “to increase the addictive nature of tobacco products”.

Whispers and Imuendos

People with their feet firmly planted on the ground believe firmly in the Conspiracy theory when it comes to the assenations of John and Robert Kennedy. These people don't have a screw loose or something. There is a book out called "Legacy of Secrecy" that is one of the more recent books on the Assasenation of John Kennedy. Two people, San Giancana and Johnny Roselli were killed either before or during their Senate testimony of the Frank Church committee. Roselli testified lin late April of 1976 and was scheduled to testify again in August of 1976. But he disappeared in late July and in early August his dismembered body was found decomposing in a drum cannister in Miami. According to one source, Roselli either fired the fatal shot that killed Kennedy or was with two others who did. This was done from a storm drain on Elm Street in Dallas. Now it's mentioned that the Kennedy adminestration was planning a new planned overthrow of the Castro government in Cuba in December of 1963 but that the Mafia still didn't want this coup to occur, for whatever reason, perhaps because it would give the president new political power to go after them. Also they had to kill Robert Kennedy because there are measures that needed to be taken to clear away all the secrets and shine in a little sunlight on the Mafia's dark, murky past and present- - that only a President could order. So they say that Sirhan Sirhan's family was scared to death of the mafia. Johnson, according to the author, was so afraid of what the Mafia might do that he ordered the whole Warren commision report as a vehical for coverint up the truth. There is also false evidence that the Mafia planted against Castro to make him look guilty of things he wasn't. The Book appears to imply that the Mafia was a lot more powerful forty or fifty years ago than it is today. Certain things are beyond doubt. Such as the fact that the first place the Dallas Police department ran after the shots were fired was to the grassn noll, and a lot of ordenary people saw and heard things in that direction too. But there are also a lot of eye witness reports about things that happened on 9 - 11 at Ground Zero, that the government would not like to become general knowledge. Two names worth noting among you Federation fans are Jimmy Hoffa and Johnny Roselli. Roselli has been a very fruitful source for information, Federation people tell me, with a lot of stories to relate. As to Hoffa, we have heard from his guardian angels that it was Hoffa's wish to join the Federation. This whole guardian angel thing is interesting in that at least three times in my life I have experianced the presence of guardian angels of dead people, without any contact with the dead person himself. These three cases are Elvis Presley, Ricky Nelson, and Marlon Brando. Being "flush" with guardian angels causes one to shall we say, opperate at a higher energy level than normal, saying, thinking, and doing things that one had formerly either lacked the initiative to do, or was prevented from doing before.

Our second of four topics covers that phone call I got from my Mom late yesterday afternoon. Unlike the Beatles with the "Let It Be" album, I'm going to completely redo this report today because yesterday I was perhaps too upset going into a hysterical rant about things. It seems that our esteemed Governor wants to gut programs such as child care and walfare and other services to the poor including whack two hundred dollars off monthly S S I checks, as well as completely eliminate Dental care from medi-cal. Governor Swartzenegger has repeatedly stated that "raising taxes is not an option". Rather than impeach the governor, I'd like to haul off and impeach the entire voting public of California. It's ironic that it takes a slim majority vote to as the proponets say "deny a fundamental right to the citizens" and alter the state constitution, and yet to raise taxes on ANYTHING it takes a two thirds majority vote, which as you might guess, is almost impossible to achieve. There is something systemically wrong with California State government and there has been since Proposition 13 was passed in 1978. There are now rising up some prudent people who want to overturn proposition 13. The sooner the better in my oppinion, and I don't care how they do it, I'd just like to see it done. My only hope is that the cuts I've heard about are so draconian and will throw countless people, and perhaps this writer, into the streets- - that somehow saner minds will pervail. Let's hope so.

Nobody likes an Uncle Tom. You've heard that one, but you know a lot of those old generalizations turn out to be true. There are a couple of "Tom's" I'd like to discuss here. One is Clarence Thomas. Here is a man who in my oppinion is not intellectually qualified to sit on the Supreme Court. He lacks "judicial temperment" and a lot of other essential qualities, too. He almost never asks questions but is content to let others do the talking, and one suspects, the thinking for him, too, like Justice Scallia. Personally I can't get over how hauty Thomas acted at his senate confirmation. In the first place he's a hypocrite benefiting from affirmative action programs when he was younger, and yet turning against them now. One of my pet peves about people in general is those who think they were dropped off by the Mother Space Ship yesterday and somehow have no past. The fact is that everybody who passes judgement on You has their own Past and they "Got Here" somehow. They've lived a life and made their mistakes. But these hypocrits seem to want to step outside their own body and now somehow claim that they are perfect and they have no "past" of their own. The other Tom I'd like to discuss is Tom Bradley. This is the quintessential Uncle Tom. One would wonder how LA could have a Black mayer and at virtually for the same period, have one of the most racist Police Chiefs, at least within my memory, that Los Angeles has ever had. Both Chief Daryl Gates and Tom Bradley left office within months of each other. Tom Bradley was a protogee of Police Chief Parker, whose racism is apparently legondary. Bradley must have done some world class Uncle-Tom-ming to get on Chief Parker's good side. You know that during the tenure of Chief Dayl Gates, there was one racial incident after another and there was all sorts of debates about choke holds and "Blacks don't have veins like Normal People" and all that, and stuff about Latinos also. All of this stuff was going on during the Bradley adminestration and he wasn't inclined to want to do a thing about it. I don't know about you but to me, a person who hates his own race has mental problems or something. Of course the Apostle Paul was an "Uncle Tom" in his day. The only worldly factoid that he was really Prowd of- - -was the fact that he was a "Natural born Roman citizen" whereas others had to obtain their citizenship with a great deal of money. You certainly see him only passing contempt and scorn on his own race. People who allow themselves to be used in Pawns in someone else's game- - are dangerous, just like the Dylan song says. They love to swell with pride but it isn't pride in their own merits but rather a false pride that's foisted on them by their Overlords to Manipulate them, like the morally spineless puppets they are.

There are four fundamental ways in which I agree with Mormonism over "My Own Faith" so to speak. The Federation has as you know, always had a soft spot for Mormons. None of these polygamy cult stories gets air play up there. The first area of agreement is something I saw in a film while visiting Salt Lake City, that after you die, the memory of your heavenly pre existance will be restored to you. One reason why most fundamentalist protestents cringe at this doctrine is that they want you worshipping the DATE that you decided to "accept Jesus". They would dearly love to see you only as a blank, and hence, programmable slate. But the Bible supports me and the Mormons in that it state "When you die, your soul returns to God, who gave it". The same scripture also says "As a dog dies so dies a man". To me that would mean that if you have to accept Christ to die, than so does your dog" (!) Of course when you die you are no longer in the realm, so far as we know in the Time-Space continuoum. It logically can be inferred that since Time after all is "temperal" that when you escape it, you revert back to whatever state you were in when you entered "Through the Wall". (Selah) My second area of agreement with the Mormons is in their doctrine of who Jesus was and who he was not. Jesus was not the second person of the Trinity because the Trinity Doctrine is tracable to a guy named Athenasius of Egypt who lived at the beginning of the Fourth Century AD. Before this the doctrine of the trinity was unknown and no previous theologian even suggested it. The third fundamental area of agreement is in baptismal regeneration. This is in reference to the often repeated scripture that "Whoever believes in Jesus and is baptized in water, the same shall we saved". Jesus spoke of one being "born of water and of the spirit" to emphasize baptismal regeneration. This seems like a slam dunk that everybody could agree with and nobody could dispute. But the Neo-Protestents don't like it. Because I think their argument is that baptisum puts the focus on the act- - rather than you "in your heart" if you will "submitting to the pastor". Neo-protestents are very pastoral-centric, as you know, and anything which takes attention off of them, even stained glass windows- - is a "No no" to their way of thinking. The fourth area of agreement is in the possability of baptism for the dead. The apostle Paul at one argues that baptisum for the dead is at least possible. Those who argue strenuously against it are basically saying "after death there is nothing so obviously the person can't be baptized". These Neo-Protestents when you analyze their theology believe that basically that Death IS the end. They see death as Nirvana and like the Moslems believe that a sudden, violent death is the most glorius and "honorable" way to go out. ("Die" for you people in Rio Linda) These people don't believe in soul sleep. They don't see the dead as "awaiting judgement" as the Book of Revelation clearly states. These people seem to want heaven to be an exclusive club. They say "Don't bring up the story of what if the missionary's jeep ran out of gas on the way to the village". They say "It's in God's hands" when really they would just rather not have certain people saved. The idea also of loving or caring what happens to an unsaved loved one is something they don't want to think about, being as self centered as they are. (Selah)

The Year of Jubilee

You know, I wish I could bottle Joel Olsteen's sermon this morning and play it back to myself as a subliminal tape like Homer Simpson did last night, to sort of reprogram my mind. The day of Jubilee in ancient Hebrew was a year every fiftieth year where all property would revert back to its original owner. In Jewish tradition they had a great belief in "Rightful Inheritance" and the idea of restoring one of his rightful place was paramount. If we carried this philosophy to Jehovah Himself we might infer that every human is born with an ideal divine legasy of what he would be if he lived a sinless life, just as the Jewish property owner would have his title restored after fifty years even if he was guilty of bad judgement along the way. Some scollars say that AD 35 was a Jubilee year and this was the "favorible year of the Lord" that Jesus referred to in his ministry. In Joel's sermon there was talk of people receiving their physical healing, or getting out of debt or conquering an addiction, or finding a mate, or getting that long due promotion. Joel Olsteen spoke of God "Accelerating the time table" to speed up what to mortal would seem to require a long time to accomplish. What Olsteen hit on here is indeed the central message of Christianity, in that it is a message of "loosing from one's bonds" and of liberation. In the story of the protigal son it says that he was not only forgiven for his sin, as if it had never happened, but this man was to be honored with a robe placed on him and a royal ring placed on his finger. I don't know about you but I know it's a rare day when I think such a story could be about ME. I always see someone else in that exaulted roll. And this is no wonder. Certainly with Jesus of KFI on the radio there is this "addiction" to viewing people as trapped in their roles. So the alcholic and the mental patient alike are not only seen as hopeless, but people whom you should shun and by the way they will "manipulate you" if they ever get the chance. Black people are seen "with people with a lot of excess emotional baggage". And if you think you're in love with someone of either sex, you are sadly informed "They have too much emotional baggage to investment, and you are better off spending your years alone". And these people remind us that the church itself is after all just a "business" like any other business relationship. If you attend and you don't pony up the money you are "stealing" from them. And also in terms of theology the question isn't to ask yourself "Am I free from the bonds of sin?" but rather is "What is my position on the Trinity. If my doctrine of the trinity is correct I can do all the raping and pillaging I want to in war time". And of course when of course it comes to "whitnessing" to the Islamic believers among us- - I remember as a kid our family used to drive along Slaucen and how when you passed the steel plant you could feel the heat of the hot steel. I imagine that even from here Islamists can feel the white heat of rage that Christians feel for them. Obama is trying to reach out to the Islamic culture and give them a new beginning, which is what Christianity used to be all about. (Though in practice this was seldom the case) But now the nay sayers are out against Obama telling him that speaking what he perceives to be the Truth is dangerous and shows signs of weakness. These people would say "Israel does well to have hardness of heart". And "We all know that Jesus is coming back anyhow in the last days to Nuke the Islamo-fasciests, so why even try and "Give Peace a Chance"? Many will say that if the region were meant to have Peace, it would have been reached already because there have been many leaders of Israel and many leaders of the United States, and one would suppose that some combination of leaders would have worked in the past. We need to find out what the motivation is of the Palistinians is, of course. But sometimes I get the feeling that Israel doesn't "Really" want them to have any autonomy at all. Just as with many Christians out there- - a lot of them are saying "Even if that so & so finds salvation he'll ALWAYS be way inferior to Us True Believers, and then go on to innumerate the ways that the people they witness to aren't even fully human to begin with.

And now I would like to turn to what may be unpleasent duty, in that I am forced to recant and retract a few erronious statements I have made. One of them involves two ecclipses of the sun, in December 13th. of 1974 and on March 6th. of 1989. Wolframalpha.com says these two eclipses never happened. We have shall we say a "disagreement" as to history. I remember both eclipses clearly but wolframalpha.com doesn't seem to. Another area is in the real of "Kurtosis". I see that in Excel they have a zero based Kurtosis number and not a three based number. But not only this but the means of calculation is different so that even with the correction of three points, you won't get the same number. My own Kurtosis rating is the best. In my reading of the number it should be base one, not zero or three, and it should then be the square of the ratio between the crest of a bell curve, and where the "hash marks" of standard deviation lines hit the curve. This method would simplify the whole process. In another area there is an alternate method of computing the Golden Mean. It's one half plus the square root of five divided by two. This formula doesn't sound like it would work, but it does. It's my contention that the square root of five should be the basis of wide screen movie screens. The actual number is very close to this but not the same. These are the only issues that are on my mind right now. Sometimes it can be quite a while before a Real News story hits.

I dredged up the following illustration from a mailing to help clarify a mathematical point. Here it is. If you want to appear really smart at a party, here is the whole hyperbolic trig thing in a nutshell. Picture an X and Y graph with 0,0 in the center. Now picture a freeway on ramp going from the eastbound freeway hanging a left to the northbound freeway. Now picture another on ramp going from the west bound freeway hanging a left and going south. These two on ramps just touch each other at the zero zero point. Now picture a third on-ramp from the northbound freeway just to the west hanging a U turn to the right and reaching its southern most point when it crosses the 0 and 1 axis and hanging a U turn and going north again. This is hyperbolic trig in a nutshell.

President Obama's Mideast Trip

When I heard the President speak in Cairo yesterday I had no immediate reaction. Others who heard the speech pointed out his pleasing his Arab audience by invoking Arab history and accomplishments, and quoting from the Koran. Personally, I didn't think the accents of Arab words sounded all that authentic. Part of my problem is that if what the President was doing was diplomatic posturing, then in the past Obama has shown himself to be rather shallow. For all his talk about being raised in an Islamic school in Indonesia, I really don't see the "Islamic-ness" rubbing off on him. To me he speaks as someone who in uncomfortable with the whole issue and wishes it would go away. I've seen how he has dealt with other situations like the Revrend Wright issue. First he embraces the man and alludes to "I could no more disown him than I could disown my own White grandmother". In the first place putting the word "White" in that sentense indicates a certain disconfort with race. Next, however, is that Obama did in fact disown his pastor of some twenty years, Revrend Jeremiah Wright. I think a lot of people who have strong roots in a church have trouble with this concept. It sends the message to one and all that "People are expendable".

We then move on to the other "landmark statements" in the President's speech yesterday. He for once did not dismiss "Hammas" as only a terrorist organization, but an organization we need to work with since it is such an intrinsic part of Palestinian life now, and they won that election a couple of years ago. Hammas does things besides terror. They reach out to educate and serve the poor and offer free breakfasts, and all those things the Black Panthers used to do. One US Jew yesterday observed of the Mideast situation, "It's too bad that Bill Clinton was term limited and that Yasser Arrafat's term wasn't". We might already have Peace. As much as Robert Schuller embraced Arrafat in his church, Aarafat lived and died a terrorist, and he was never anything else and in the end Peace overtures were doomed as long as he was alive. The President talked about Iraq as a "War of choice". I wish he hadn't said that. All that needed to be said on the subject of Iraq is, "The United States helped overthrow a dangerous world dictator and bring democracy to Iraq, and the people now are adjusting beautifully, and their future looks bright". It at times can be actually distracting and disruptive to your overall message to point a finger of fault at yourself, when nobody is even raising the issue. I think the President did well to choose to believe that Islam is a Peaceful religion and quote from the Koran the line "When an innocent person dies, it's as though the whole human race were murdered". I think putting "Peace" and "Islam" in the same sentence is tenuous at best. What I personally would have done is remind the Arab community that it was while Malcolm X was in the Mideast in March of 1964 that it came to him seeing disperate races worshipping in harmony, that the races were meant to get along with each other. The President then went on to discuss the respective problems and hardships of the Jews and also of the Palestinian people. I'm happy the President acknowledged that the Palestinian people have suffered- - much humiliation and degradations - - at the hands of their occupiers, the Israelis. I dare say their strggle for autonomy far exceeds sixty years. The President discussed Iran saying that all nations should be able to peacefully develop the atom. Wisely I don't think it was a good idea to dwell to long on Iran, their being Shiites and all. What I would do is stress to the Moslem world is that peace is there for the taking if you want it badly enough. The thing you have to ask yourselves is "How tired of war are you"? Racial pride is a powerful thing and I don't fault it per se. The desire to "survive" and "overcome" and "conquer your enemies" is primal among the species of man and it's part of the evolutional survival mechanism God built into mankind. The plain fact is that "survival of the fittest" works a lot of the time. But Obama now has to say that it is their Destiny now- - to live in a world of Peace. And if he can bring Allah into it without being too obvious, so much the better. One thing the Israelis need to face is that these recent west bank settlements need to go. Every time they put one of these up they are volitionally saying "I know we'll never have Peace anyhow, so take THAT you Arabs!" They are hoping that by sheer number of them they will be able to muscle the Palistinians off the land, the way the United States has broken nearly every treaty on the books with the Native Americans.

I respect people who can solve puzzles. I used to be able to beat the computer nearly half of the time in the "Four in a Row" game. But last night I had a bad run of luck. Either I am not as smart as I used to be or somebody reprogrammed the game to make it smarter. There are games involving pieces of metal of hooking and unhooking them they sell at Knott's Berry Farm. I never had much patience with these. But solving puzzles shows not only a sign of patience but also native intelligence. There is one math game where you are supposed to turn all the white dots black, and it's fairly easy to get all but one dot with the rules you play under. But life often faces people with puzzles with more variables than you can program for. Certainly bringing about peace in the mideast is one of these puzzles. You first have to believe it's possible. In wolframalpha.com sometimes when you write an equation you thought was easy, it turns out to be very difficult to solve showing a lot of math work. Some equations aren't just difficult but intrinsically impossible to solve for X and Y. A prudent person should soon realize which contingencies are intrinsically impossible. A world dictator, if there is to be one in the last days will have to have tremendous "people skills". People needn't be "good" to have phenominal "people skills". Many people, likewise, can be basically "good people" in themselves, but really suck at being able to figure out what a client is saying or get into his mind so that you can reach him and help him. We don't live in a pure world of programmable abstracts regardless. So whether any leader or would be world dictator is successful depends on such things as astrological allignment and things beyond his control. I'm sure Alexander the Great had a brilliant mind, but had he been born under different stars, his life might be a different story.

The Lakers looked great last night, didn't they? - - against the Orlando Magic. I believe this is the year of the Lakers. They set the bar pretty high for themselves this year. If they don't win it all they will have considered it a disappointing season. We should all "raise the bar" on our own expectations so to encourage personal growth. If all of us raised the bar on what we expect of ourselves, others would be inspired by that new positive "something in the air - that wasn't there yesterday" and they in turn will be inspired to reach new heights. Allowing the American Dream to Slip Away

You know, Joel Olsteen is always talking about reviving your dreams and not losing your hope in their fulfillment. Joel, like many preachers, reminds that most things we are going through we think are "bad" really aren't as bad as we think and they don't last as long as we think. But I have to say that in my life this has not proved true. That one "fall on a sidewalk" one Friday morning in June 1st. 2001 ended up in my being here, and the last I checked I'm still here. The first time I threatened suicide was August 2nd. of 1967 because I basically "just didn't like the way my life was going". I can look back at things I did and say "But I don't blame myself". If you try and Monday morning quarterback yourself, you are engaging in self delusion. I remember when I was in fifth grade just thinking about the future and how I'd be a teenager with a car dating a lot in high school and getting married in my early twenties and having kids. The scenario didn't exactly work out that way. Some people as Christians get married because they think "It's the thing to do". And when the marriage goes bad they say "thank God there wern't any children". But it isn't the fault of the people who get married. After all you have to consider what the alternatives are. One of course could be to walk away from the Church. Another would be to lie to yourself and say "the conflict doesn't bother me". Of course continuing to lead a double life is always an option, but that has its drawbacks. Sometimes bad things can be forseen. I forsaw this downturn back in 2006. There was some book out that tackled the twin topics of excess religiosity in the United State, and the other topic was the mounting of all forms of economic debt. I predicted the Shaw of Iran would fall in the summer of 1976. Perhaps it was a lucky guess. I did not forsee the current economic problems in my own life because of not getting the three hundred dollar renters rebate. The family at the same time decided I shouldn't get money at Christmas or any other time. And I didn't qualify for the Bush rebate of last spring. But unlike as Joel Olsteen might think, these adverse developments had nothing to do with "negative thoughts". Indeed these developments blind-sided me, coming out of the blue. Our economic problems now in this country seem to be worstening with each passing day. Now Citibank will be bailed out because we should have bailed out Lehman Brothers but didn't. Banks are thumbs up; Auto makers get thumbs down. We get it. Bush is selective in that only the most massive squanders and misappropiaters of funds get bailed out. If a bail out means helping out the comon people Bush says "Forget it".

We were all waitning for Obama's Big Revitalization Plan today. If he had actually given us a plan for anything I'd have made these words the blog heading. But it didn't happen. We just have to trust him. Obama has a press conference but isn't answering any questions people actually want to know. He announced four appointments this morning. Timothy Geitner is secretary of Treasury. Also coming on board are Larry Summers, Christine Rictor or Roper or something and Melanie- - ? Anyhow people are just tickled pink by the appointments. The stock market likes the names. I am thinking right now if you want to be optimistic you would say that perhaps this bear market will bottom out about the first of February, but I shudder to think where that will be. I'd be planning the stocks I'd buy right now. But we should actually see us rounding the corner economically about June of 2009. That's my optimistic scenario. I am famous for being too optimistic about family vacations and "when we will get there" because my Dad ended up driving a lot slower than I imagined. But basically the "light at the end of the tunnel" is nowhere in sight and the future only looks continuously bleaker than the present and bleaker than the future looked a few weeks back. Welcome to reality. Just remember when it comes to owning stocks- - you still own just what you owned a year ago. If you learned that your CD collection was worth only half of what it was worth a year ago would you run out and sell it? That would be rediculas. It's your property. You paid for it. it's yours. You haven't lost anything because the price someone else wants to pay for it had dropped.

If some of you wonder about Romulan football let me just say that it's a little narrower, but just one yard shorter, 99 yards or 90 Romulan meters of 39.6 inches. They really don't have that many flag violations involving "unnecessary roughness". Things like pass interference, offencive or defencive are unheard of with Romulans. Also things like holding of grabbing face masks, blatent or otherwise - are perfectly legal. The only thing they call a violation is going for the private parts. That's still illegal. The Romulans have a "no feet inbounds" rule for passes where you don't have to have any feet touching the ground, only that you are in control of the ball. Also in Romulan rules is you don't "down it" after you score it really doesn't count till you do- - none of this crap about crossing the plane of the goal line. If you lose the ball and another player gets it even crossing the goal line- - a fumble is a fumble and the other team can down it and get it on the twenty. They never had an "in the grasp" rule. Intentional grounding to stop the clock is NOT allowed in Romulan rules. There are no two point conversions and no overtime.

In soap land Nicole is in the process of losing her baby that she's having with Elvis Dimira. You see Elvis never did place either Nicole or her baby that high on his list of priorities. It's much more important to cancle a romantic weekend getaway with Nicole at the last minute- - to go off with Stephano to South America so he can get involved in criminal obstruction of justice. Elvis regards that as a much better use of his time. Meanwhile the other girl who is having Elvis's baby, Samantha, is still waiting in the wings. She had the good sense not to tell Elvis she was pregnent, and if Elvis knew she were pregnent he'd drop Nicole in a second and run to Samantha. Now we can pretty well surmize that Elvis' relation with Nicole is over. There are times where you just have to put your wife first and forget the multitude of excuses. Elvis is more afraid of displeasing his father than he is of losing everything with Nicole.

Obama's Cabinet Takes Shape

Hillary Clinton can't be secretary of State till she has been properly "vetted". They have to determine whether any of husband Bill's many financial contact will compromise her job performance. Tom Dashel has been made Secretary of Health and Human Services. On the Rachael Maddau show there was talk about trying to finally go for the single payer health insurance plan. This would solve a lot of problems, and it might just be an idea whose time has come, at least on a trial basis for three or four years or so to see how the American people like it. Meanwhile someone from Al Qaeda called Obama a "House Negro" today. Obviously someone in Al Qaeda believes Obama has been co-opted by the Republicans. Tom Dashel is a hated figure by the Republicans. We know this because of the numerous references on the Rush Limbaugh show. Many are starting to wonder why Obama is picking Washington insiders when he ran as an outsider. Obama picked Eric Holder at Attorney General. This guy is contraversial because of his involvement in the Ilian Gonsolez abduction case where the FBI broke in to a residence in the dead of night the Saturday morning before Easter of 2000 and shipped little Gonsolez back to his communist father in Cuba. It was not a good day for liberty. Also there is the matter of involvement in the pardoning of Mark Rich just before Clinton left office. Holder is Black.

Many people are discussing the possible bail out of General Mortors and the other US Auto manufacturers. I've thought about it a while and determined that it seems like a prudent move to make at this time. We can't afford more massive job losses and surrendering the last vestages of our Auto industry to Japan and Germany. In addition to just the loss of employment, the government would lose its tax base as well as support for any health plans and Social Security. But there are others who say if General Motors declared Chapter eleven bankruptsy that the company could tear up all their Union contracts. Auto workers get paid $71.00 an hour, if you can believe that. That's mighty high cotton. It's easy to see how Auto Companies could feel that the unions were squeezing them dry. There is talk that GM stock might be selling for zero by the end of the year. If that's the case put me down for ten shares. But now we hear that because of these republicans still in congress the auto bail out provision of any bill won't be passed at all. This congress has worked too hard. It's time to take a powder.

Now three legal suits have been approved to be heard by the California Supreme Court when it comes to getting rid of proposition eight and reinstituting gay marriage. Jerry Brown is sympathetic to the cause of these prostesters, and from here it looks like they've got a better than even chance of overturning the will of the people last November 4th. I know of no legal precident where people previously married could now be declared to be living in sin.

They are making progress with stem cell research all the time. Now they are combining organs from dead people with a person's own stem cells to grow new vital organs. If this becomes wide spread many ailments, use your imagination, could well become a thing of the past. I can tell you this. A lot of ADHD could be eliminated in kids if they'd just cut out sugar. Also many people could benefit from these sublingual B 12, folic acid and B6 tablets they're selling on the radio. I have remarked that I believe as a teenager I suffered from a B 12 deficiency and my school work was compromized. Many people in the mental health system, and I ought to know, are in kind of a self perpetuating revolving door with either apathetic or incompetent doctors. It's much easyer to just warehouse people. On the radio today I heard that any manager's worst nightmare is an employee that not only spots a vital flaw in "the system" but has a ready made solution. Many people in authority prefer not to rock the boat at any cost.

You've heard me talk about "The Four Jesuses". Let's review the first of these four figures. There is a story that keeps cropping up in either Egyptian or Roman history about a figure who somehow outsmarted Pilate and escaped crusifiction. There is a story Tassitus tells of an Egyptian who declared that the Jewish Temple would be destroyed. One version of this story has Pilate examining him and letting him go because he was insane. Other versions of this story tell how he led a night raid on Jerusalem but escaped in battle. Jesus is recorded as welling the Jewish authorities "I am going away and where I go you can't follow". Dylan has the lyric "When your rooster crows at the break of dawn, look out your window and I'll be gone". There is the matter of "comming after me with lanterns and torches". If there was a full passover moon this would be unnecessary. But one more thing all four Gospells mention is this mystery man who bore the cross of Jesus. Interestingly nowhere is there any relating of any conversation between Jesus and this man. There is an indication this man was called "Crestus" and not "Kristos". Three independant sources place him in Rome and very much alive in fifty AD, long after 33 AD. The date when he "would have" been crusified would be November 24th. of 29 AD. There are few indicators of the time of year. We can take a cue from the reference to building fires to keep warm that it at least was cold at night. We know that it was not the season for figs. We also know that fig trees lose their leaves, and that a logical time to do this would be in the fall. And scripture says "and the next day the tree was withered". We know that this group was anarchistic. According to the movie "Barrabus" (another mystery charactor) there were people in the fire of 64 AD in Rome who went about lighting fires. Tassitus refers to Christians as "the most hated and detestable of groups". This group was anarchistic. It was not friendly to Rome. Both Acts and Tassitus make the same reference to this "Egyptian". We know Bible writers threw in the text "I called my son out of Egypt". Well, this is something to think about. You'll have to look for all the other references to "the Egyptian" in my past blogs.

Getting Screwed in Transit

You know, in the old days before the digital camera, there was always the danger of a photograph getting screwed, or ruined, before the photograph could be developed or "fixed". In religion this process still goes on and the blame is an occurance of etheline gas at an inoppertune moment. No I'm not referring to farting in a crowded elevator. I have a parable Jesus must have told but it got left out of all versions of the gospells. Suppose there was a bulb with your name on it. This bulb was your life. Normally (I say advisadly) the bulb would be planted and mature and bloom into a beautiful gladiola or some other pretty flower, and then the workers in the vinyard would come at the end of days and transfer you to his hot house where I'd have you bronzed or something for all posterity. But one day the Father got lax because he had a heavy day at work and he told his son, "be sure these bulbs get planted today" and the soil was all marked off and ready to plant. But the son decided before he did this he would "have a smoke" and so put the bulbs in the refrigerator believing that the bulbs would "soak up knowledge and inspiration" from the other produce and ripening fruit around it. But there is a little thing called ethyline gas- - and what ethyline gas serves as is a catylist that speeds up growth. So all of the bulbs germinated and because they lacked the proper soil, they all died. This can happen with a Christian if you try and "help God out" and go up to the alter to confess your sins and get saved before it is your proper time. This sort of thing goes on every day. In Mark Campbell's lizzard analogy, the eggs are abandoned by the mother and burried in the sand, and they hatch, and the new hatchling lizzards make a mad dash to the river before they can be caught and eaten by predators. The lucky ones make it to the water where they are safe. When the Apostle Paul speaks of death and what kind of life will we have- - perhaps he isn't speaking of physical death so much as a "place of safety" where your destiny can't suffer harm, like a photograph dipped in the hypo. The soil in this analogy if you believe in "expositional constancy" is your environment, which you have little to no control over. If you doubt this consider the parable of the tares and the wheat. After the tares and the wheat are harvested the soil remains just as "Tara" remains in Gone with the Wind, after every other colamnity has come and gone. (Selah)

Our world is at risk. If you've been watching the Today show this week you realize that the earth is vulnerable and is at risk for every and all disaster. Perhaps Killemonjaro will lose all of it's snow. Glatures are melting in iceland. Coral Wreths are getting bleached all over the world, which is a sign of distress. Ocean waters are too warm, adversely affecting the life of fish and cutting down their breathable oxygen. The forests of the Rocky Mountains are withering away being eaten by a beetle, which only attacks trees undergoing an extended drought. Temperatures in the Rockys and elsewhere in the West are way above normal. We in Southern California have had one of our worst fire seasons ever with over a thousand houses consumed, and untold heartache. Fire season is virtually year round beginning in February, and it isn't over yet. Polar Bears are drowning because the ice is melting and they can't troll for fish. And even in all this those on the Political Right are telling you that man is not to blame in any way- - either this or it's all in our minds to begin with. There is a gigantic conspiracy to muzzle all of the "true" scientists out there with political pressure from telling us the Truth. This is if you believe those on the right. Now in the transition of governments Obama has been working with Mc Cain to solve these problems. Clearly there are other things biologists look for too from whether or not penguins are losing weight to the reproduction rates of various plant species.

It's important to know the escape volocity of any Religious Cult. What you do know is that the closser you get to it, like approaching a newtron star, the escape volocity gets higher and higher and the question when is that threshhold when you no longer posess within yourself the escape volicity to escape it. Take Melody and Nick Fallen. You remember Nick Fallen, he's the inturn that did all of Einstein's greatest calculations which proved fear of Black Holes is unwarrented because Black Holes don't exist, therefore anyone who sees or says they've discovered a Black Hole must be delusional. Anyhow Nick had an object of his affections named Melanie. Gradually Nicks world got smaller and smaller and his life got colder and colder. And with every new cold snap he'd throw a bunch of new mathmatical calculations into the fire to keep warm. Finally there was nothing to stablize Nick's life other than the obsessive object of his affection Melanie. We all remember how Nick's mother Jessica was a psycho and a scitzophrenic who alternately called herself "Angelique". Now the seeds of the mother were germanating in the son. Up to the moment when they left the Horton house Melanie had a choice. She could go to the police department and confess to the murder of her father, which she can't even remember. Or she could "run away and be safe" with Nick Fallen. Well, you know what happened. They were stranded in a Motel without a phone, and I think the Bates Motel sign hadn't been turned on yet. They were in a room without a phone in one of those places they used to mention on Superman episodes where you could scream your lungs out and nobody would hear you or bother to come to your rescue. You tried all the manuvers you learned from the Misory movie including drugging your captor- - but nothing seems to work. "He's got you where he wants you - - - so you better face reality".

The question is whether Obama is going to roll over with his paws in the air like Joel Olsteen's pet German Shepherd. You know the buzz is that Obama isn't going to relinquish any of the Presidential Powers that Bush obtained for himself during the last eight years. The Imperial Presidency is that much more entranched. There are all sorts of laws about who can be arrested and on what grounds. None of the secret government spying stuff will at all be diminished under an Obama presidency. Like I've said before, I am a little uneasy with news of the "smoothness" of the transition. You know, General Patton fought the de-Nasification of Germany after the war and his rationalization was "We want them to have a sense of pride", to which a normal person would say "They are the vanquished foe. They're not supposed to have pride! Even if Patton's idea might make "the transition go smoother" it still isn't a good idea. We know the President has the power to declare a State of Emergency for any reason or for no reason at all. It would seem that signing an executive order is some remnent of a quazi dictatorship we now have in this country. It was stated by Hank Poulson or somebody that "If congress hadn't passed that 700 Billion bail out bill, we would have had Marshal Law here in this country within the month. That is a scarey proposition. We know now that the whole mortgage bail out bill was a Lie, but the bigger question is did congress even have a Choice any more, or has this nation moved into the real of a prohibitive Escape Volocity, that would preclude any other decision? I wonder if Obama is staying up at night thinking of Pope John Paul the First, and how he had proposed sweeping changes in the Catholic Church but one day he wound up dead. Or how Jack Kennedy was roomered to be planning a complete pull out of troops in Viet Nam just before he was assasenated? I find another fact downright scarey. 47% of the people voted for the Mc Cain - Palin ticket, as badly as that campaign was run. Rush Limbaugh himself today said that "Mc Cain is not the sort of person to put out a position paper on where he stands on anything". I agree with Rush on one thing. Sarah Palin came off as silly talking about how she and John Mc Cain were "Mavoricks". That word is now so tainted for all time. 47% of you people actually agree with the precepts set in that campaign. That is scarey because it's the most conservative campaign by any party since Barry Goldwater's in 1964 and Goldy got clobbered and embarrassed in that one. I think we are mo sheep like than we want to admit and were we in the early days of Nazi Germany I'm not all that certain we could resist the bait.

They say there isn't really anything new in math. But there is one formula I've never seen written down on paper. We know that a ninety degree cube had six sides. Question: How many sides does a four dimensional cube have? I have wrestled with that number. You can make an argument by using the N! figure in Windows calculator that the number is 24. But I have another set of numbers in mind. First of all in one dimension there are no sides to a cube because a cube can't exist. In two dimensions a cubs had one side. Not two, but one. The argument about "any pancake no matter how thin has two sides" is invalid because you still first have to have a three dimensional pancake. So the number is one for a two dimensional universe. This brings us to four dimensions. There are six sets of planes- - or six possible conbinations of "grids" you might say. But there are three such ninety degree planes in a three dimensional universe but a cube has six sides! Well, add the two for the next dimension down. Using this logic a two dimensional cube has one and not two sides. A four dimensional cube would have eighteen sides and a five dimensional cubs would have forty sides because there are ten possible intersecting (90 deg) planes here and you times it by four, which is one down from five. Given this logic a six dimensional cube would have 75 sides. The Federation has spoken of the number forty pertaining to "nature". Might this be the "nature" of a cube?

He Who Would Be Obstructionist

Conservatives love to tell the story of a guy with a big pot full of live crabs and the kid asks "What is to prevent the crabs from escaping" and the dad says, "Oh, that won't happen. If one crab looks like he's going to manage to escape, the other crabs will pull him back down into the pot". I've experanced my share of "crabs" at Calvary Chapel, Anaheim. There are a lot of crabs there, ready to pull you back down into the hole that they're in. My mother once wanted this one job (she's in some kind of social work. I'll leave it at that) But for years this one guy named Maloney obstructed her from getting the job she wanted, until one day he retired. Before this I myself inquired about this guy Maloney, and was only told that everybody regarded him as a great guy. In the movie "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner", Sidney Portier says some horrible things to his father, who was a mail man. He said "Till the dead weight of you is off of us, our generation will never get ahead". In the Bible there was a guy named Tobias, who obstructed the building of the "Walls of Jerusalem" in Neiamiah's day, first by mocker, then by appealing to the government to stop them, and finally by armed conflict. I think you get the point. Now the Bush Adminestrarion is trying to ramrod through a bunch of de-regulation measures in a lot of areas, such as banks and finance, and a lot of stuff on the environment, and stuff on abortion. For a de-regulation to stick it has to be in force sixty days before the new President takes office, which means that Bush has to get passed by executive order or whatever- - everything he wants done by November 22nd. which is just a couple of weeks away. I heard about all this on Pacific Radio pod casts. It's an issue that's very relavant to our times, because if the new rules take effect before January 20th. 2009, it will be a whole lot harder for President Obama to undo them. This is why I'm not exactly conforted by the notion of a "smoothe transition".

Obama has been meeting with Hillary Clinton in Chicago with the idea of appointing her to the Office of Secretary of State. Hillary would make a good Secretary of State because she could use all her tallents of outspokenness and stridency advocating the best interests of the United States. We need a strong leader in that office. Meanwhile Jesse Jackson Jr. may be picked to fill Obama's old senate seat, because Obama will officially be resigning his seat this Sunday. If Hillary turns down the Cabinet post, Obama may offer the position to John Kerry.

We've been saying for a while now that Christianity with the course of time, will wither on the vine as the public gradually begins to assimilate all the information about the "hostorical Jesus (if there was one) on the internet. Just two days ago I was reviewing "The God who Wasn't There" and there's a whole DVD movie you can buy and show to your friends. As you know in my own writings I have talked about "The Four Jesuses" who lived during the first century, and each contributes a bit to the overall portrate we have of Jesus. Back in the "Age of Reason" three centuries ago man decided it would only conclude something was true if it was in accord with Reason. But the religious fundamentalists and others have made Reason a dirty word. One must keep in mind the old axiom "Once the impossible has been ruled out, whatever remains, however improbable, is the truth". I say this because people say Evolution is "unlikely". When it comes to reason I'll take "unlikely" over Impossible any day of the week. Some would say to just "try Christianity". This is like a little kid telling his father, "Why don't we paint the house lavender. We don't have to keep it lavender forever, let's just try it that way for one week".

I checked in on Rachael Maddau and she had Naomi Klein on as a guest, who wrote the book, “The Shock Doctrine and Disaster Capitalism”. The topic of discussion was the 700 Billion dollar bail out rammed through congress. Now they are renigging on their deal to buy out bad mortgages and renegotiate them with the customers as Obama wanted. Never have a “verbal understanding”; put it in writing. It’s all bank guys on the government payroll these days and they know that, but congress let itself be conned by these ex bankers. Of course what’s going on is the Bush Adminestration is going to loot all they can from the American taxpayer and then they’ll all go get jobs from the very banks they are bailing out now. I told you that these banks with the money they’ve already received are NOT extending the courtesy of extending a nice low interest loan to the customers. No, no! These people bet their 22% and higher on credit card costs, which of loan shark perportions. Even student loans are 14% now. Now government officials are saying that bailing out the Mortgage instruments, for which the money from congress was approved and I initially rationalized- - will in fact not happen now. The banks weren’t doing this anyhow but with that money were thinking up other shady investment schemes and buy outs rather than use it for loans. So since we need to “get money in circulation” now other corporations such as the auto companies will receive some of that 700 Billion. There is an article about it in this week’s Rolling Stone I intend to look at if it’s available on line. Obama says he wants a smoothe transition with Bush but were I the President elect I would be up front in calling the President out on this massive financial deception. Judy is wrong. Obama is the farthest thing from being a tool of the “socialists”. This 700 Billion bail out isn’t socialism but rather the opposite. It’s the government turning over massive amounts of money without strings to private, corporate CEO’s. Obama hasn’t even chosen members of his cabinet yet, and we have no idea what kind of administration he’ll have. I only pray that it’s distinguishable from the current one. So far I have seen no indication of any sort that Obama intends to “clean house” economically speaking. I just hope he hasn’t somehow been bought off.

Obama Shown the Reins

Randy Rhodes today expressed her oppinion on the current news situation rather liberally today and I must say I have a lot of reservations about the things she said. She never liked the idea of Bill Clinton being referred to as a lying, pot smoking, womanizing draft dodger when in fact he was all these things. Bill Clinton is also guilty of rape. It does no good to deny any of this. Now Obama has signed an executive order, or will, to the effect that the United States should support abortion groups around the world. Obama also is a believer in killing the fetus after it's born. This is a fact; there is no use in denying it. Obama has also shown by his appointment of Chief of Staff that he wants a no nonesense guy in charge kind of like his dark alter ego, in power. Randi Rhodes believes in bringing back the "fairness" doctrine, not believing that liberals can compete with Conservative talk radio in the open market. We don't know what Obama and Bush talked about today but I imagine there was a lot of ass kissing going on. It's a comon belief among liberals like Michael Benner that no liberal can be trusted to run Foreign Policy and National Security but there is some kabbal that is really behind the scenes in power. I don't like Randi Rhodes' hysterics about proposition eight here in California. It's rather silly for gays to protest that they feel cheated when they lost the vote fair and square. The people of California have said they don't want the hallowed institution of marriage equated with gayness. Indeed in the history of world civilization has such a thing even existed before even among the Greeks and Romans. Jesus on KFI defends being gay in various ways but one of them is touting how few references there are to homosexuality prohibitions. Like abortion, certain acts are so inherently hanious and perverse and depraved that little note needs to be made of them because no sane person would comit them. It's a continuing insult to Black people and Latinos and any other "straight" minority that their cause and the cause of homosexual marriage are of equal value. Obama did not hesitate in signing on to the Bush bail out plan of two months ago. If Randi Rhodes were really that bothered Obama was called a Socialist, the least she can do is achnoledge that a lot of people on the Right have just cause to be concerned. One might well wonder whether the American economy will ever be the same. Even now retail outlet after retail outlet is either slashing jobs and stores to a high extent, or else going out of business completely. For Mc Cain to say "The fundamentals of the American economy are sound" is one of the most misbegotten statements ever made. The fundamentals of our economy rate about an F minus at this point for a lot of reasons. I agree with conservatives that we need to re establish a "work ethic" in this country. We only disagree about how to do that. Indeed the American economy was less "ill" in the depths of the recession. As far as stem cell research is concerned- - I would not have signed that executive order either. Obama says he will sign. I think we need to put it to another vote to acertain just what the oppinion of the American People is about stem cell research before we massively shell out tax payer dollars to fund it. I strenuously disagree with the AM 1150 crowd on another issue and that is the invasion by Georgia by Russia. Now we want to put in missiles for defense in Poland, whereas Russia intends to put missiles just accross the border frum Poland. I didn't think any part of Russia bordered Russia now. If we can't defeat Russia now in their weakened condition, we will not be able to defeat them once they have recovered to their former strength. Pat Buchannen is touting the liberal line in this saying "Whatever Russia wants, we should give them- - and above all blame America for everything". If you want to cast blame for the war in Georgia, Randy Rhodes and Thom Hartman say, "Just blame the whole thing on Karl Rove and John Mc Cain". This makes absolutely no sense to me. Right now I have a few more remarks to make politically- - from yesterday's Word file.

I haven’t been blogging at near the speed I was blogging at a couple of months ago. I don’t like the idea that Obama thinks he has to appoint “Washington insiders” to cabinet posts just “to prove he coming from the center”. I’ve heard he’s going to get supply side conservative economists in posts, too. Obama has given no indication that he's serious about altering the basic fundamentals of our economy in terms of abolishing N A F T A or tightening immigration laws. This Ron Emmanuel guy is a hard-ass “take no prisoners” kind of guy who apparently plays rough. Obama is kidding himself and maybe some of you if he thinks he can say “well it wasn’t me- it was just Ron”. I can’t imagine that Thom Hartman and other liberals are happy about the first signs they have seen from the President Elect. It may be a case of us all hearing from Obama what we "wanted to hear" and that we essentially voted for an illusion. Tomorrow President Bush and Laura will be welcoming Obama to the White House. The little girls were not invited. That Black guy in the You Tube video says that everybody in his life from his family and many cousins and such were all liberal democrats. The believability of the thing was near zero, as if Blacks are too dumb to spot someone with all the Mc Cain - Palin talking points. I'm referring to the You Tube vidio "Here, sucker sucker sucker". People just don’t wake up one day as if they landed on their head or something spouting Mc Cain’s and Palin’s well-scripted talking points.

If I were a Jew like Dennis Prager I'd spend much of my time attacking Christians as vile liars and slanderers for saying the things they have about Jewish people over the centuries. If you believe the Bible by a couple decades after Jesus's death, there was a whole network of Churches founded by one person, Saul of Tarsis, and everyone from the Emperor (Nero) on down had heard of him, and there were Christians in Ceasar's household. St. James was some baffoon who ruled from the Temple in Jerusalem running the Christian Church world wide from there. At one point St. Paul said he wanted to visit Spain. I say all of this because for all these churches and all these pastoral epistles to be real, that means Jesus had to be widely known as a Historical figure. But in fact whether Jesus of Nazareth was even a historical figure is a subject for debate. A rather meaty substantive case can be made that Jesus didn't exist, and if Jesus never existed than St. Paul and I don't care how many churches- - didn't exist, but are are a carefully faboricated - - constructed myth. Think about it.

Let's talk about the Black guy in that video some more. He claims that conservatives are not brainwashed by anyone, yet all born again paritioners owe allegence to their pastors who in most cases are soverign. Also I didn't vote for Obama because I was some "livestock" being "fattened up" by liberal government subsedies. In fact many of the Christians on the right- - NOW - are among the ones who pushed me into getting on welfare in the first place. Getting on SSI was contrary to every instinct in my body. I don't have Obama to blame for that but rather people most of whom are professing Born Again Christians. For the first time with their hostile remarks I feel that "The Right Wing" is against me, personally, and when they talk about tax policies helping the poor, they are talking about Me. Let me venture into a "never previously mentioned" subject. Untill last night's Simpson's episode- - I never would have called Ned Flanders a JERK. But last night wiped out nineteen years of niceness as far as I'm concerned. In like matter- - people around me have tried to make this tax business personal by including me as the bums and the slothful and lazy and whatever- - that are supported by Obama. One person went so far as to say people receiving welfare should not even have the right to Vote? And there is a move to purge voters on the left, as you know. Since this hostility of the Right is personal now- - I'm not going back to ever support them again, because they themselves have slammed the gate shut.

Is the Will of the People Always Sovreign?

Some of you may be wondering why I didn't put out a blog yesterday along the lines of "It's a new Day in America", or something. Well I was intending to but I just never got around to it, the same way that Isac in the Bible never got around to giving Esau the birthright blessing. Well, white people will have to address Obama as "Mr. President" now. Bush has fallen into line and is giving Obama his first Security briefing tomorrow, and Obama is hurrying to fill the posts in his White House staff, including having John Kerry as Secretary of State. Apparently people argue that Bill Clinton waited too long to fill kep posts. Still, I almost didn't vote for Obama. It was a dark evening with no lights on in the patio when I had doubts wondering if Berock Obama would be the President presiding over a major economic disaster or worse and thinking I had to vote for Mc Cain to avert that. I had this clear feeling at the time, "You know what you have to do. You have to vote for Mc Cain". I didn't know where that voice was coming from. Then a voice inside me said that whatever I feared about an Obama presidency would be even worse under a President Mc Cain, and I came to my senses. Back when I was in grammar school there were all these roomers that Kennedy would make kids go to school six days a weeek because he was a Catholic. There seemed to be a lot of Catholics in my school in those days. Our class held a poll on November 8th. 1960 and Kennedy narrow defeated Nixon in our class vote. In 1976 there was a fear factor with Jimmy Carter because of this guy Brashinsky that Carter was associated with that he would somehow further the New World Order and the trilatteral comission.

You may (or may not) be curious of the Orion Federation's reaction to all the doings in this country over the past few days. Oddly enough the mood there was pensive, if not downcast. The buzz there is that Obama will never live to become President and that Obama's name will never make it into the history books because he won't live to see January 20th. but will be assasenated. In Obama's speech many have noted the similarity to Martin Luther King's eve of assasenation speech of April 3rd. where he said "I may not make it with you but I'm telling you that we as a people will get to the Promised Land". But there is another speech by JFK that is also parrelled where he talks about his hoped for accomplishments and says "All this will not happen within the first hundred days, or the first One Thousand, nor in the life of this Adminestration, but Let Us Begin!" Of course Kennedy only served one thousand days, though I have trouble getting the math to work. Still it's good to bubble and effervess for the time being. One reason why I voted for Obama is when it came to the negatives the Christians keep making reference to, I chose not to allow myself to be ruled by Fear. Even if Obama is destined to be gunned down soon, we still should not be ruled by fear in our actions.

But is the will of the people sovrign. In 1900 President Mc Kinley was very popular with his conservative economic policies, but an assasin's bullet changed history and Teddy Roosevelt got in and shook the corporate structure up big. In 1964 we had something called Proposition 14 that overturned another state law that said you had to sell your house to a Black man whether you wanted to or not. But the Supreme Court decided the people didn't vote right and overturned the will of the people. To me, even as a liberal, this just did not seem fair to me at all. To my way of thinking the people had a right to express themselves even if they happened to be wrong. Now with proposition 8 we have a similar instance. Bill Handel was on Fox News this morning bright and early and he was saying this situation with gay marriage could be tied up in the courts for a long time. People wonder whether an Obama court might legalize gay marriage as some inailable right we never knew was in the constitution.

I voted no on proposition 2 but it passed handily. Let's hope our poultry business isn't wiped out in this state. I voted no on 3 because I just got tired of hearing that "Imagine" song and those kids singing. I imagined a John Lennon spinning in his grave and saying "Oh- - shut the bloody hell up!" I voted yes on Six and no on Nine. But in this case "If the Six turns out to be Nine" turned out to be reality because Nine passed and Six didn't. Six had to do with gangs and Nine had to do with sexual predators. I don't think some fifty year old man who'se been in prison half his life is a guy you need to worry about. Much more to be feared is that young man in the proposition 4 adds who says he can empregnate your daughter and it has to be a secret. But now they have a trick or treat patrol to insure that no kids come to the house of a sexual predator, and they have to invest in all those GPS ankle things, which is going to cost major money.

As a footnote addendum, Esau did very well without father Isac's birthright blessing, thank you. In fact the nation of Edom became a major power while the "children of Isrial" were nowhere as nomads. The nation of Edom lasted six or seven centuries, thank you, which happens to be significantly longer than our own nation has lasted, even if you include our esteemed Pilgrem Fathers, who with nobody but their Creater, single handedly forged a settlement, as opposed to that "Socialist experiment" in Jamestown. (I hang out with a very conservative crowd) When it comes to King David- - - he had Moabite blood. So if you say Jesus was Jewish because of his mother, why isn't King David Moabite because of his great grandmother? It so happens that I spent a lot of time in my Prophecy Book "dissing" Edom. I called Edom a people of sell out and capitulation and in other words villified them. But Edom never "sold out". Edom is associated with Aldeberan VIII. It's bad to dis a group because you never know what bad karma will boomerang your way. David's great great great great- - - grandmother was a prostitute. Say what you want about Obama, at least he knows who his father is. I've never liked the term "African American". The continent of Africa is responsable for some hanious, dispicable acts throughout human history. Obama has every bit as much right to the claim of being a full blooded American as any of us do. Obama will be President of all of the people.

The Download.com music player no longer boots with Firefox, even though it still does with the Yahoo browser. I've tinkered with all the Firefox setting and none of them do any good. The only way to hear music from Firefox is to download it and play it on Music Match. I've heard that Firefox's recent update screwed up a lot of applications. But I don't know how to find out from anybody how any of these applications can continue to work now.

The Media Recessitation Job on Mc Cain

You would think that this close to the elections conservatives would be discouraged. But they have people like Meet the Press and Mc Laughlin group to encourage them. Obama has now lost Missouri, North Carolina and Ohio, and is in danger of losing Nevada and Florida. The Mc Laughlin group concluded that the Presidential race was "too close to call". Of course this is with Obama leading anywhere from three points to about twelve points in eight or ten different polls. But now the media is telling us all eight percent undecided will break for Mc Cain and that "All the Obama people have voted already". To listen to how little conservatives think of Obama you have to review the negatives in your own mind. There's Reverand Wright, that Chicago Real Estate guy, and then there is Ayres, who dedicated one of his books to Sirhan Sirhan. Then there is that Palistinian guy and the tape the LA Times doesn't want you to see. Other negatives are roomers that Obama's mother rejected her son in Indonesia and that's why he was raised by his grandmother in Kansas. But when you look at all these negatives they don't ammount to a hill of beans. But conservatives say there is a conspiracy by the media to slant all of the polls in favor of Obama. These conservatives seem oblivious to the fact that big corporations own all these TV networks. Basically Obama's whole plan to expand education and have universal medical care is seen as some sort of "socialist experimentation". They say Obama wants to vastly increase our UN spending. This idea of Obama raising taxes on the rich is portrayed as the most evil event in human history since Eve ate the apple. Conservatives believe there will be a major pro abortion propaganda push is Obama wins, as though Obama will slip abortion reference into his speeches. Also euthanasia is a concern for the conservatives from the other direction. Of course when you question these conservatives, they are against taxes alltogether, so quibbling over the ammount is silly. They will tell you that our esteemed founding fathers never expected citizens to have to pay incom taxes. I've heard more talk that help of the less well off is "stealing from the rich" and that a rich person can't survive in this country any more and that all the rich are moving to Jamaica or Costa Rica where a dollar is worth a dollar. It's also believed that there is a media conspiracy to surpress just how much reserve we have in oil and there is actually a huge ammount in Alaska the media isn't telling us about. One thing I will agree with the right on is that if we had oil ourselves, then the US dollar would actually be based on something of value. These conservatives are against any state proposition involving the spending of money. I happened to think if conservatives are as hard up for money as they claim- - they're obviously not giving to their churches. After all, what does a church "contribute" to the national economic faboric. These conservatives are so concerned with "paracites" among us. May I suggest Sunday mornings are a real good place to start. Actually if Mc Cain had run an uplifting and respectable campaign- - making the decision would be a lot harder. But when you look at the tightwad biggots who go to Mc Cain rallies, the decision on how to vote tomorrow is actually made easy.

Hopefully- Obama will win and will carry Pennsylvania as well as red states Ohio, Iowa, Virginia, Florida and Colorado. I'm holding out hopes for Nevada, which has grown a lot in population and is much more urban now, and hopefully less Mormon than it used to be.

OK - We Get It

You know, I'm going to pull a Johnny Wendell and talk about myself today. Last night was the Obama commercial, and my worst fears were realized that it would just be "more of the same old song and dance". The trouble is if you really are a rich person who hates poor people you wern't going to watch the thing anyhow. In the local Calvary Chapel, the way to deal with people you don't like or who make you feel unconfortable is to lable them hetrodox or "outside the circle" or better yet a "tool of Satan" that you don't want to be contaminated with. With such people you not only cut off all contact but you never speak of them again, except perhaps to slip in a disparaging remark about them in a sermon sometime, that probably isn't true to begin with. We know these people despize higher tax rates for themselves, and speak of a "distontented rabble" verses an "thrifty working class" who knows the value of a dollar. We know rich people regard the poor as having the sin of "coveting what is not theirs", real Biblical. So we are treated now to the saga of Cory the oil driller and his "hard luck" story. Here are some remarks typed yesterday. This is when I read the life of Cory the oil driller and his struggles to better himself twenty years ago, and how his many monitary gambles finally paid off.

This is after dinner and I just read the saga of Cory the oil driller. My conclusion at the end of that was that Obama is not responsible for either the current financial crisis or George Bush bailing it out to the tune of 700 Billion. He's upset with Obama for his high tax rates now. Also I happened to think there must be some way to pro rate the current profit back to the lean years, since you can do the opposite. There must be some tax loophole by which all those lean years will be rewarded. I might add that all of the financial risks the man took were of his own choosing. Nobody told him to do it. He could have “settled for less sooner” but now he’s getting more later. I might also add that after I finished writing my book I had a proud feeling and this same indignent Judy told me “The only reason why you have any success is because God allows you to have it”. What she seemed to be saying was, “You didn’t write the book of your own choice; God allowed it to be written”. I had the distinct feeling she was trying to hex the project. Unlike Cory the oil driller, will will probably have money to burn even after he's paid his taxes, because of a government decision of California I am now $300.00 poorer than otherwise. As a percentnge of my monitary intake this is a much bigger chunk out of my monitary funds then Cory having to pay six percent more on his taxes. Also the man may be a gambling business man but he’s also a talented ponthicator to others.

The thing with Cory the oil driller is that by now he's earning a hell of a lot more than $250.00 per year "you betcha!" with the price of oil as it is now having quintuppled or something over the past few years. I'm supposed to feel sorry for this guy who regards Obama as the quintecence of all evil. After you pass a certain age and a certain point in your wealth, what are you going to do with your money besides Melvern Drysdale's remark about "I'm going to go into the vault and fondle every bill". What do "old men" like John Mc Cain or Ted Stevens have to look foreward to? Who are they going to leave their money to? Perhaps some shart sheister Preacher could come along and relieve them of their money by promicing them 72 Virgins when they die, along with a lifetime supply of viagara. You know Judy referred to above could take a lesson from my mother, who brags that she pays more in income tax now than the totality of her salary while she was working. She sure isn't "wasting" anything on me. A lot of us have "family" stories. Cory the oil driller had family members who loved and supported him. The blessings of friends and family are worth more than money can buy. Tom Leykis used to relate a story about how his dad would always give money to his sister who squandered money, but never give him a cent. There was a period where I borrowed a small ammount of money to cover the cost of printing up Prophecy book in 1980. It was repayed very quickly and I'm not even sure why I found myself a little short because I thought I had enough. That was about the last loan I ever got from a family member. But people speak of returning to the Clintonian tax rates as somehow a vast new "Socialist experiment" or some new "redistribution of the wealth" program. OK I get it. Rich people despize poor people. That's why rich people like my Christian friends, and Cory the oil driller are voting for Mc Cain and I'm voting for Obama, and never the twane shall meet. But you know something, in East of Eden, do you remember what Cal's father Adam said to his son after he got money in the comodities exchange by investing in grain during WW I? He said, "When are you going to give that money back from the people you stole it from?" Well, why doesn't Judy go to Cory the oil driller and point to all the speculation in oil, some of which used to be illegal, and say "When are you going to give that back from the people you stole it from?" That's not going to happen. You know what I'm tired of is this ponthication of people like Joe the Plumber and Cory the oil driller. They have learned how to ponthicate well. Like I say both have a great future as church pastors, whose job it is to fleece the flock. Meanwhile the rest of us are voting for Obama. Clinton campaigning for Obama must surely be of a help to him. There are a lot more poor people than there are rich people in this country. Obama is for hard work. He's not exactly the freeloader those on the left would like to portray him as preaching. Obama has a strong worth ethic. And I'm glad that people on the right have discovered the value of the worth ethic, because traditionally this has not been a Calvary Chappel value. In fact the other day, Joel Olsteen used a four letter word in his sermon- - P L A N. The idea of Planning ANYTHING is traditionally anathema to the Calvary Chappel crowd. I ought to know. I tried to play my life for the better and was resisted by these people at every turn. This is before they all turned into 'Mr. Potter". It's wonderful they have discovered the value of a dollar. Dollars can be wonderful things in helping out your less fortunate neighbor. But they'll never see it that way. They say "Obama is stingy with charities". If this is so I guess it's the old addage "Black people don't tip". Black people know the value of a dollar and probably scraped together every cent they could to get out in a nice resturant. Tell the waitress if she wants tips there are plenty of strip clubs around, and those people will be glad to throw money at her. These people that Obama speaks of are good, hard working people trying to better themselves while making ends meet. Now I will agree that this didn't used to be the job of President of the United States to ballance your check book. But we are in different times today. But after November 4th. these Christians on the right won't be referring to Obama as either a black or a Moslem, or a Terrorist, or a Socialist. They will be addressing him as Mr. President, and those people in our armed forces will give allegence to him as Commander and Chief.

The Machinations of the Few

We are seeing signs of the final dissilution of the Mc Cain campaign. Experts say you know it's "close to the end" when president and vice presidential candidate turn on one another and one of the other of them gets "off message". Now Sarah Palin wants candidate Mc Cain to become more personal in his attacks on Obama bringing up people like Reverand Wright. And the Mc Cain people are calling Sarah Palin a "diva" and saying she shouldn't have gotten the gift of the clothes. Some are still waiting for that etherial "tightening of the race", which the media has told us all was coming. I can remember how Ford's loss was a foregone conclusion and as I remember it Carter's loss was a foregone conclusion. People are speaking of the race as though it were really close and one candidate or the other will only win by five or ten electoral votes. But experiance shows the truth is quite otherwise. Normally (before this decade) it's tended to be an electoral vote landslide one way or the other. If there is any "tide' or "turning point" it's in Obama's direction because people, particularly married women, are losing faith in Sarah Palin. There are of course all the newspaper endorsements and the endorsement of Collin Powell last week coming out for Obama. There is the "think about it" factor, and after people weigh it and think about it, they come out for Obama. But if Obama wants to drive the nail into the coffin he might bring up the possible prosecution of criminals in the Bush Adminestration. He can enphasize more than he has the fraudulant and dishonist reasons we had for going into the Iraq War. He can "beat the big oil issue like a drum". Not only Mc Cain but also Sarah Palin and Dick Chaney and Condeleza Rice are tools of "big oil". He can remind the people that it's not a matter of "winning the war" because you can't Win an occupation, and as George Bush himself about terrorism you can't "Win It". There will never come a day when "It" has been won. You can remind them that one more bad Supreme Court appointment and we don't have a democracy any more but a "banana republic with Nukes" because American government as we know it will cease to exist when that four to five ruling gets reversed. You can inform them voting for Mc Cain won't reduce the number of abortions that are performed, or reduce the number of children who turn out gay. People should contemplate anew what it would be like with Mc Cain's finger on the button should we have to go toe to toe with the present or any future leader of Iran.

People should also remember that this idea of "creating jobs" is a deception because the need to employ people is a market driven force and not a beneficent act by "a rich person". We are all tired of hearing "You never got a job from a poor person". We are tired of having the worth of labor develued. I remember that song played on KTLK radio about "I'm the man who built the bridges, I'm the man who laid the track, with my shoulders and my back". Teddy Roosevelt once said in a speech (and he gives credit to Abraham Lincoln) that when push comes to shove, labor is to be more valued than capitol and is ontologically what comes first because without labor the lord and slave master or economic despot or whoever- - ain't got jack! People hire others because they believe they can make more money in the long run and pay the workers less- - then the profits they'll end up accrewing to their business. The economy is a market driven force. I'm tired of hearing the notion "If we just throw in a few more tax cuts the economy will be stimulated". This is like saying to a man in failing health "You know you'd be healthier if you just jogged less". If you have a strong economy- - no taxes in the world can hold it down. If you have a weak enough market, even giving it away for free won't avail you. People forget that it's the job of government to raise money from wherever they can get it. It's kind of what governments do. The reason why rich people balk at taxes is not because they feel taxes are unfair but rather they are against the whole idea of any government in the first place, but would rather delude themselves they are self made men and that the government and the laws and the courts have nothing to do with insuring stability. We have all heard Ronald Reagan's words "I'm from the government and I'm hear to help". For some reason when I hear that I think of a green acres episode where the whole town are a bunch of loonies except for Eddie Albert. OK, on to other issues- - - .

Three million people were stricken from the voter records in Ohio in 2004 and provisional ballots were never even looked at. And you know it’s going to be the same way this time. If I copy this to a blog it’s going to end up being white on white. I just went out for coffee in the courtyard, and people are still doing for the soft chairs that are in the sun. I had seconds of those tiny cups. Thom Hartman was talking one time how with a cut in capital gains tax rates he decided to sell out of the business he was in and go on an extended vacation. Cutting capital gains won’t stimulate the economy but rather leech capital from the economy in the same way that minerals displace each other in the human body. Mom says she’s taking strontium for her bones, which seems odd in light of those strontium 90 commercials about Barry Goldwater in 1964. But as strontium goes up calcium goes down. Also I’ve heard that magnesium displaces calcium and is good for a calcium OD. In like manner the body prefers sodium to potassium, and one BP book likens it back to the days of evolution and we were all chimps eating nothing but bananas and green leafy vegetables, which were rich in potassium. At any rate anybody who sees a good money “pay off” and a way of “getting out” is going to sell, and whoever he sells his stock to is going to inheret a stock with that much less capital support. There is a saying that “if it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate. And if it stops moving- subsidize it.” The government has always “managed” resources in this say. Conservatives are all upset because of Obama’s commentary on the Plecy verses Ferguson supreme court decision of 1896. Because Obama said “The supreme court didn’t go that far (as I wanted them to) in re-allocating wealth in this country. So we have the new cry that Obama is a socialist. But others will brag that in France they have vastly superior medical care to this country for “only” two hundred a month, or almost twice my “discretionary spending” money I get now. But they say that in America you have to pay a ten dollar co pay to see the doctor and that this is somehow a bad thing. Someone should explain this to me. Tom Hartman also said that in 1971 he was advised by a friend when starting up his own business to “higher women rather than men. They’ll work for less”. Now there are women who are so deluded as to think women have ALWAYS had it as good as they have it at this moment. If you’re happy with your life now you should thank a liberal for it, because as Thom Hartman also points out, most of the economic things we take for granted come to you from liberalisum such as health plans at work and clean drinking water.

Last night I watched sixty minutes. They had some “bucket brigade” scandal of 1907 where gamblers used to inhabit Wall Street betting on whether a security would succeed or fail without actually buying into that stock. In 2000 the Clinton congress re-instituted all of these gambling allowances which were illegal during most of the twentieth century. State laws were enjoined from enforcing their OWN gambling laws against these Wall Streeters preempted by Federal regulation. Now you can buy and sell these default insurance policies. Once upon a time there was a court trial in England where they established that buying “insurance” was not gambling. But in this case you needn’t own one bit of these “reprocessed” mortgage securities in order to partake of the insurance policy. You can buy and sell these policies and make tens of millions, and many people have gotten rich in the past eight years buying and selling these “swaps”. But then they all defalted. Every writer of these “swaps” just decided they weren’t going to pony up when the people came to collect, and this is the chief thing that drove banks like Lehman Brothers over the edge. T Boone Pickens was also on talking about natural gas to run cars on. This is a very good idea and it would cut smog. And we can get electricity from wind power, and I hope this idea has caught on by now, because the wind blows a lot in some of these western plains states. In like matter we told you to cover your oil shorts because the price was bottoming out. And lo and behold we hear that OPEC is going to cut production next month. Now we can all embrace T Boone Pickens’ wind idea and tell OPEC to stick their oil where the sun doesn’t shine because we have moved beyond needing their oil.

There was one of those interactive US state maps but this one was different. Rather than being able to find out how many votes Dole got in 1996 with this map you could change the color of the state to either red or blue or inbetween and the electoral vote tally would change.

You saw in the news this morning passing billions of freshly minted money out to banks. I’d like to have some of that. But with this money the banks aren’t necessarily lending with that new money but are “sitting on this money” and using it for acquisitions, or buying out other institutions, or else paying their share holders. There are apparently no strings on how the banks are to spend their newly donated wealth from Uncle Sam. But somehow the Mc Cain people never will go and call this welfare for the rich.

There is a principle that conservatives embrace that liberals classicly didn’t about how your tax dollars you pay should actually be related to the services you get. But the Neo Cons believe in the axiom “From many a lot of money to pay to the few”. So you have pork projects for the few or else some financial scheme to benefit the few or the few screw up badly in an irresponsible act so the many have to pay. Thom Hartman believes the many should have to pay for the seeming perpetual poor health of the few. I still am not sold on this theory yet. I keep thinking in utilitarian terms of how much more bang the “many” could get for their tax dollars in things they really want- - were it not for the machinations of the few. (Selah)

I’ve decided perhaps I will vote for the animal rights proposition after wards and just “see how it works out”. It sure looks like it’s going to pass anyhow. I’m voting NO in propositions six and nine, which have to do with expanding law enforcement, because they will cost too much money. But I am voting for proposition five, which “reduces prison overcrowding” and provides drug rehabilitation and counseling for those not yet hooked on it, and in this way the crime rates are cut and expenditures are down.
