Most people have some
fear of losing their jobs if they fail to measure up. Certainly crop pickers get paid for piece
work. In the old days your salary
depended on what you produced. If you’re
a secretary and are slow or make mistakes you are fired. Athletics is a highly competitive persuit as
are dancers (they’d done murder dramas on that) and actors constantly try to
outshine each other. If you’re a musician
your band will kick you out if you don’t measure up. But there are certain “brotherhood”
professions where the adage goes “Once you’re in you have job security for
life. You practically have to burn the
place down in order to get fired. You
know the professions. They are law
enforcement- - - school teachers - - attorneys - - doctors - - and for the most
part congressmen. These professions
close ranks when one of them gets into trouble and protects him. St Paul would say of them that “The best of
them partakes of the sin and incompetency of the worst of them because he
basically identifies with him”. And then
there is a thing called White privilege.
This may sound strange but White people don’t go around all day thinking
about the fact that they’re White and have White Privilege. They know if they get pulled over by an
officer he’ll be polite and deferential to him, and call you “Sir”. What struck me today was when someone
pointed out that there is never a day when transsexuals don’t think about the
fact that they’re transsexuals. There is
an obvious remedy for this condition, but it is BEFORE you go and have the
surgery. So transsexuals are like
Blacks. Not a day goes by that a Black
doesn’t think about the fact he’s black.
At least according to some people.
He carries this blackness with him all day long and he can’t wash it off
to get rid of it. They say that if you’re
a White you can carry guns and show them off- - to a Presidential campaign stop. I’ve heard this so much there must be merit
to it. How does the secret service
reconciled to that? That is, if they
know that at any moment any one of these gun nuts could haul off and shoot the
President and they have to trust and “take it on faith” that they won’t. If you’re White you can carry and brandish
your guns around and the Feds won’t do a thing, almost as if they are afraid
you’ll vote them out in the next election or something. But if you’re Black and protesting the death
of one of your own (seemingly a more solid basis of protesting) then even if
you are not armed, you have to fear getting beaten up and maces and tazed and
whatever. You and I don’t think about
this because to us it’s “perfectly normal”.
But a foreigner or a space alien would see things entirely
differently. This is not a new topic but
I thought you people just needed reminding.
I keep hearing from
various sources that President Obama will not serve out his full term. For some reason I believe that. If he’s the coward I think he is- - if he had
a chance to bail out and resign when the pressure (of the economic crash or
whatever) got really bad, I think that Obama would take it, and offer some
complete bullshit justification for it.
There was a blog last night and a video that says that the Statue of
Liberty represents the Whore of Babylon, and is actually the Roman goddess
“Libertus”. This goddess is the
equivalent to Isis in Egypt or else Ishtar of Babylon. The guy that designed the statue of liberty
was a Mason and what he really was into designing were pagan statues. Of course all the usual scriptures were
quoted revealing the “detail of scriptural prophecy” that the United States
really is named in the Bible. I would
look for something trippy to happen- - in early June, or at least to begin
happening. It’s so strange that we are
now running the Presidential campaign of 2016 this month (April 2015) rather
than fall a year and a half from now. I
would be inclined to dismiss such videos completely except for one thing. Back in 2007 we progressives were confident
that there would be a major change of rulership in 2008. We were looking for a democratic White House
to go with the democratic congress we already had. We all believed our darkest days were behind
us never to come again. Even in 2009 we
were calling the past decade nearly from 2000 to 2008 as “the lost decade” as
something that would never come again.
Little did we know that FATE had other plans for us, darling. The tea party had its genesis at the end of
August of 2008 the day Sarah Palin was picked as Vice President. Things politically have never been the same
since. So how were the seeds of the worst,
most virulent form of conservatism ever- - hatched right on top of Obama’s
acceptance speech? It’s our greatest
victory eclipsed by our greatest FEAR. The irony of that is a little much. I only say this because it's an indicator the 2016 Presidential elections may be completely irrelevant to any of the desires we progressives may have.
Shawn Hannity was going
into one of his rants about these police civil rights violations of suspects
and how nobody knows “the truth” but him.
(As soon as he can make it up) So
I switched to Bill Carol on KFI who spent the majority of the hour talking
about Kurt Cobain. Despite the endless
number of documentaries about Kurt nobody knows the real Kurt. So this guy decides to start fresh and go
into Kurt’s own words and song lyrics and “his art” and I don’t know if that’s
sketches or what? It’s almost like that
movie ‘Boyhood” where his growing up was well documented. It would seem there are more movies of him
as a kid growing up than there are of me.
Of course we tended to “put on an act” and be humorous and act like
happy go lucky clowns- - even when the relation off camera was anything but
that. It was kind of a mutual
conspiracy. Some people’s “Art” is
changed by death. Stewart used to have
really dark hued art when he was on this side of the veil- - but after death
his hues brightened and he got more into geometric mind bending art. Of course with Kurt I had my own “Domascus
road” enlightenment back in 1994. I knew
that Kurt was no longer “dark” and “moody” and that in fact he had his lighter
moments and a sense of humor. Comitting
suicide was the best karmic move he ever made because he left all that darkness
behind. His daughter was only twenty
months old when he died, and she said she shook hands and “already knew the
producer of this project better than she knew her own father” and that the
daughter (Francis?) didn’t dealve into her own father’s works all that
much. There was a line on Days of our
Lives today I was just thinking about as regards to John Lennon. And that is Lennon’s slogan has always been
“It’s what I am right now that counts”.
I have always honored that. In
fact I think there is an almost mutual conspiracy here- - to portray Lennon as
even tempered and calm. That’s the
“face” he shows me. However in one thing
I never put in print was a few weeks ago when he was reunited with Cynthia, his
first wife. I was privy to that
interaction and it was pretty stormy, emotionally. But I decided (perhaps due to my Will Horton
experience on DL) not to go down that road, perhaps because at that moment I
feared I was losing my own sanity. I
sent an interrogative out as to what Jim Morrison thinks of the use of a song
of his in a Charles Manson promotion.
Actually Jim doesn’t mind; in fact he thinks it’s “cool”. Unfortunately I can’t agree. People who knew Manson personally were
mystified and terrified by him and think was a first rate psycho, if they even
survived the experience. Anyhow this
Kurt Cobain movie is out in the big screen theaters right now. I’d like to scratch together my last two gold
dabloons and go and see the thing myself. Will Horton made a mistake in telling Clyde
Weston that not only would he interview him but “I’m going to do it with or
without your consent”. To a guy like
Weston this is clearly a threat. Will is
like a Boy Wonder Jimmy Olsen who gets himself into a jam and needs to be
bailed out. Kristin has removed all
pretence and revealed herself to Teresa.
Meanwhile Brady and Melanie are tied up together in the same room. I think they are still expecting Superman to
bust in and rescue them.
If Chas Bono had a
penis she’d still be a girl, but she’d make lots more money and conquer the
world. Just to quote a song lyric. Now Bruce Jenner is doing the trans-sexual thing
and of course I think this is the ultimate manifestation of a sever mental
issue. There are people who cut
themselves out of some neurosis.
Jenner’s is the ultimate manifestation of that. So is Jenner going to try and get on the
Wheaties box as a woman? I checked Drive
radio again. Last Friday they referred
me to some white page with some code that didn’t work. They are referring their audio to I
Tunes. They were playing “Crystal” by
Fleetwood Mac off their 1975 album, followed by “Crystal Ball” by Styx because
they were doing rock A to Z. This
morning they were in the L’s with LA Woman.
On Breakfast with the Beatles, there was a dearth of Paul Mc Cartney
songs and a surplus of John Lennon songs.
They played “Night and Day” that old Sinatra song that Ringo does, on
the “Sentimental Journey” album from 1970.
Supposedly “The Beatles” were mad at Paul for putting out an album in
April of 1970 but Ringo’s album came out at the same time. I remember.
The last two songs were by Badfinger, supposedly because it was Pete
Ham’s birthday, or maybe death day. They
aren’t having the Rude Pundit on this morning.
I wonder what the deal is. Last
night it was America’s Funniest Home Videos and then “Once Upon a Time” I
guess, or something. I was out of the
building a lot. But I was feeling tired
and went to bed early. This morning I
got a long short from Rocky and then a butt from Richard Moore. I don’t think Chris Christie is going to
run. That’s too much of an uphill battle
to get all of that blubber over the hump.
This is Monday April 27, 2015.
