Other "Off the Public Record" Sacred Sayings

By Burt Lombard, who kicked off his five year run - - by casting a compass

Behold I say unto you that the Lord of this World has been laid low and held up to shame to be seen by all – in fulfillment of the Scripture which reads “You can’t pull strings – if your hands are tied”.

It has been said of old, “Do not blampheme the Holy Spirit”, but I say to you that if the Holy Spirit cannot stoop down to help the many who are heterodox, it cannot save the few who are orthodox”
.
The Church General Assembly should be an instrument to bring about world peace, rather than an arena in which to fight their petty doctrinal wars.

Let us not practice nationalism for fear of the tea party.  But let us never fear to exercise nationalism as a natural fruit of who we are.

Only when logic and rational thinking is reverenced beyond doubt, can one be certain beyond doubt, that he will never slip into religious madness.

You dare not tempt your adversary with weakness.  Would you entice another into comitting a sin?  Would you put your loved ones at risk?  Would you aid abet the rape of your own soul?

Do not ask what your Fate will do for you, but rather, what you can do for yourself.

To live outside legalism one must be honest.  And few who would advocate it - are.  Driving on a path without markers can be done - - but not be he lacking either skill or wisdom.

If anyone knows the fate of a ship of church or state, it is not the owner of the boat, but rather he who has been piloting it.

People who are actually Doing something are more qualified for the task, than one who would wave a certificate in front of a prospective employer- - to hide his shifty eyes and inappropiate smirk.

Would you plunder a house without first binding the strong man of the house?  In like manner, he who cuts off the Head of the Beast, has rendered the whole body of the Beast dead.

If you die in a case of mistaken identity, ask yourself one thing. If it is of God, then rejoyce.  If it is of man than "bear the rag deep in your face, for now is the time for your crying.

One who would give birth also gives berth.  Neither should be a course set upon without prayerful consideration.

Pawns are like asteroids.  They are small but like asteroids even a small one can fell a mighty space vessel.

I say unto thee, kill not the marionette, but the one who is pulling the strings.  When he is dead, the marionette will never bother you again.

People do not create jobs and commerce by expending their business.  First they see commerce increase, then they expand their business. Many people who would build a Church to their own glory fail to grasp this simple concept.

When the ground in the park is littered with brown leaves, you know that the winter of evil's discontent is close at hand
.
You may say of the dead "guide back his soul accross the Great Sea" but the Lord himself shall determine when or if this ever happens.  But if it should, you will know God has willed it.

In this world - that which is of true Beauty is fleeting - - but in the world to come what is fleeting now whall be as common as grass, and the banality which is this world - - will be no more.

Do not take the best seats at the assembly least another come and say "these seats have been reserved".  Rather one should "reserve" unto himself a chance for further advancement.

Do not fear one would be despot over you who says, “I am felled by nothing”, but rather say unto him when he says this, “If you are felled by that which you regard as nothing, then what will you do if you ever have to face an actual challenge in your protected, pathetic life.

If thow would be a true protester let him say, "If this be blasphamy than let's make the most of it".  I know one thing. I fear being called a heretic far less than I fear being false to my own soul.

If it is your soul you say you want to say, then when you die why do you say "Father, I yield up my spirit" and make no provision for your own soul?

For those who are spiritually poor to desire to be spiritually rich – is not a sin.  But if one bless in spirit desires to become poor in Spirit - - this indeed is a sin.

When you devour the carcus of your enemies in battle- - it is the dead substance being life by the living.  As such your enemies should feel honored.

When one tells you “Fear he who has the power to cast into Hell” I say rather that the wicked should fear one who is able to take that same depraved soul OUT of hell, so that he in conscious sanity may receive the just reward for his many despicable deeds.

He would tarry long at a tea party risks becoming mad as a hatter.
Behold the queens and the minorities are going into the Kingdom ahead of you.  For a minority is one whom you used to Lord over, but no more.  And the Queens shall swagger past you- - - for they have seen their husbands eat and bloat themselves and die and they assume his power- - and nobody doubts them any more.
Some may say “Kill the President”.  And I say unto you until he who “presides” over these Times is dead and you stand and stomp on his grave, thow canst never find Peace.
People who are enlightened don’t need “Support”.  They are ontologically worthy unto themselves.  The weak have many supports, the strong have few, the Almighty have None.
Behold do not fear what to eat or what to wear or what to say when confronted.  The Lord knows you need all these things he knows you need, and when you’ll need then you’ll get them.
The future has already taken place.  The past is like a mirage you see ahead of you in the road.  You can go tword it with all deliberate speed, but you will never get there.
He would go back to the past as a vindication of his pathetic life, would mortgage his soul for the purchase of yesterday’s lottery ticks, which have already been discarded.  People wish to go back to something they never knew, and indeed will never know.
If one strikes you - - will you not strike back?  He who does not strike back, aids and abets the Evil, and he who says “Resist not the Evil one” speaks from the depths of depravity.
If one says “I am a God but I need you to believe in me” is like a man who asks change for an eighteen dollar bill and the cashier asks “Do you want two nines or three sixes?”
Behold, Houdini would not tell another to believe what he had the good sense not to believe himself, while he was with them.  People who are opportunist would have others believe in something which vicariously they know they can’t do.  But if another were to Believe what they will admit to no one they are unable themselves, it will give these vain people a glimmer of hope that the impossible is achievable.  He would change his fate without first changing his deeds and his soul, is as one such person who would strive for the Impossible.
He who adds to the divine record will be as the five year old who desires to help his father mow the lawn.  He who subtracts from the divine record detracts from his own Hope of Salvation.  (Selah)
