The death watch is now in force. Behold sixty-three NCAA teams will die and one will survive to carry the championship another year. The Pope is in failing health. Our prayers are with him. Let’s hope the Spirit is alive in those who will choose the next pope. Terry Shibo is now in her seventh day without either food or water. Death awaits her soon. May the guilt of all those who contributed to her death remain on them. Con-demnation is for the guilty; mercy is for the innocent. Behold on this night Our Lord celebrated the Last Supper. He who would betray the innocent gives the seeds of evil new life in those who would not otherwise fancy themselves as sinners.
This is Good Friday, March 25, 2005. Perhaps some of you question my saying, “Mercy is for the innocent”. You may say, “The innocent don’t need mercy”. I disagree. Jesus on KFI talked about the royal “slap in the face” offence God holds people to, which damns them for eternity. [This is in reference to "Accepting Jesus's salvation] May I suggest here is a case where a little mercy is called for? If this is a sin, people committed it Innocently. They didn’t know about some rule that was just laid down by a KFI jock from six to nine AM Sunday mornings. You’ve heard of an “innocent kiss”. Usually it’s some damsel who’s lived a sheltered life gets swept off her feet by some Prince from a distant foreign land. What of the case of a young teenage girl perhaps from a dysfunctional family who is told she can have an “acting carreer” and is led by a seductive manipulator into a life of pornography, or who may even have been forced into it like Nicole Walker was. As you know as far as Jesus of KFI is concerned that the Jew who bares resentment tword his Nazi captors in WW II is more guilty than the Nazi who committed the atrocities. As far as Jesus is concerned the sin doesn’t exist. And you likewise should “make that positive confession” that the sin never existed and “release it”. If these Judges in the Terry Shibo case should “find God” and show up at a Jesus rally they may most likely be promoted to the head of the rally giving speeches about their former sin. And if they become Pharisees and nit pick in the tradition of their Master over premarital sex and “rebellion” against the local pastor, well that’s something we just have to live with. Here’s a case for you: As you know I have often said that were I in
One thing we didn’t mention in the Terry Shivo “consent” bit is that there were two different occasions where people reported that Michael Shivo was beside himself wondering aloud what Terry would have wanted in terms of her being kept alive. And in a third case Terry reacted in a hostile manner when someone made a Karen Ann Quinlin joke saying it just wasn’t funny. Again I say that every judge involved in the events of the past week ought to be impeached. But I would not put a curse on their descendants for the next two thousand years. That is a case where my justice and Jesus’ justice differs. As of now Terry Shibo is in the “death process”. She’s beginning to look like one of those Jewish victims from a Nazi death camp. I have never heard of a person who could even be alive without water for a week. Jesus said “I am thirsty” from the cross after only three hours. And the O T says he was given gall. Terry Shibo, unlike Jesus, is not undergoing all this pain voluntarily; it is being forced upon her. (Selah)
This morning I was praying to God for a whole host of things, for myself and for others. But again that other voice (courtesy KFI) was whispering to me that I was wasting my time. Would you reward a child molester who turned your son gay for a lifetime with going to heaven and giving you advice on how to conduct your own affairs? Obviously the notion is ludicrous. And yet if it’s Satan this is just what happened. After he played upon the Innocence of Adam and Eve damning them and all their descendants to an eternity in Hell (if we believe Jesus on KFI) or at the very least eternal death, we find Lucifer in Heaven giving God advice. (See previous reference in last file) “All of creation was subjected to futility not of its own will but of Him who subjected it”. That’s in Romans. Remember in the 1980s we decided as a society that the AIDS virus was a virus that had “civil rights” that were not to be interfered with. (Selah)
Some may say that were I to relate the scenario of a couple of a few paragraphs back that I would evoke the response of Jesus “Why are you trying to vex me with hard questions?” And I might that that further retort of, “God isn’t going to fall off of his throne merely because you ask a question”. Nobody is suggesting this, but the fact that an evangelist or whoever would have this response indicates that the evangelist’s own faith is in question. You know just today there is yet more evidence that the T-Rex and other dinosaurs are related to birds. Birdlike DNA has just been found in some fossil. Some may say “Well your seeing that on TV is just another way in which you have left the door open for Satan to tempt you”. For the longest time I held fast to the belief that all this dinosaur stuff and evolution could not have happened. But little by little, reality has crept in on this belief of mine. John Calvin has the doctrine of Irrestable Grace”. May I propose a doctrine of “Irrestible Damnation”? Those who were meant (predestined) to be damned, will be damned. In other words, God will allow Satan to be “on his case” for as long as it takes to accomplish the goal. Think about it.
One thing we already said about the Terry Shivo case is that a part of her brain is said to have liquefied, or at least had so much fluid around it so it couldn’t function. It is said without this portion of the brain operative she is unable to feel pain. There seems to be contradictions over whether she had a cat scan or a pet scan. Conservative groups say she has had neither. I guess we referred to her medical condition in “technology”.
George Bush has fallen in the polls badly in recent weeks. He’s 45% in one poll and 43% in another. He couldn’t have gotten elected with those numbers. It seems that on the issues of both Social Security and the events of six days ago with Congress, he is on the losing side of public approval. Those who say Republicans are playing events for political advantage don’t know what they are talking about.
They had Meet the Press on. Adali Stevenson says there is absolutely no place for religious considerations in politics what with the threats of starvation and nuclear anil-ation and all. They introduced all the people who were going to be on the show. They were famous authors and such and I thought the show might take two or three hours to cover all of the topics raised by them. In a sense it was kind of a nose-holding festival because so many speakers talked about the right to gay marriage and abortion and “Keep-ing the government our of personal life decisions”. Lieberman talked sensibly about the Terry Shobo case. Lieberman also said that the Right to life, liberty, and the rest was a right extended to everybody. It wasn’t just a Christian phenomenon. That’s an important point to remember. I wouldn’t want to be a “minority” in
I tuned in the Jesus Christ show, and right from the git go I was “put off”. First it was twenty to seven and they were still having commercials. Then their opening theme was a reworking of KISS’s “I want to rock and roll, and party every night”. Jesus apolo-gised for that. He attacked his very first caller. She wanted to know what he meant by “Thou shall not kill” and right away Jesus got on the offensive saying she had asked a different question from what she told the screener. My response is, “If you’re talking to God, isn’t it possible the Spirit could redirect what questions you ask?” Jesus thought she was some seminar caller or something and hung up. Then he got a call on whether a Catholic was a Christian. Jesus side-stepped that question. Was it OK to witness about Jesus in bars?” Jesus said “Don’t whitness anywhere you shouldn’t be yourself”. He then said if you’re a woman talking to a man about setting up a date to go to church, don’t give him your phone number. There is no reason to be “put in harm’s way” because you’re witnessing. I happened to think of the line from an old movie, “I’m willing to die for the woman I love. What’s your bid- a bloody nose?” (Selah) Jesus then got a call about won’t there be sadness in heaven if we look around in heaven and don’t see certain loved ones?” Jesus then defended his not talking about heaven, either on earth, or now, saying that we can’t fully understand the things of this world, how can we understand the things of heaven?”. My response is, “We’re a lot smarter now about the things of this world. When will we be qualified to hear about heaven”? Jesus then said he’d heard an analogy from a preacher he’d always found helpful. My response was, “He’s Jesus, he’s the LORD; he can come up with his own unique examples”. He then launched into that story about the four your old kid being told about sex between a man and a woman. At this point I switched off the radio. I’d heard the line about when you’re in heaven you’re in such a state of orgiastic exticy that you will no longer care about people here living on the earth. In fact you’ll be in a whole different “time frame”. Of course none of this is supported by the Bible. Some Bob Dylan songs ought to be accorded the status of scripture. “Do you take me for such a fool to think that I’d make contact, with someone who hides what they don’t know to begin with?” When I came back after seven Jesus took a call on why it’s called Good Friday. He told of a man who inherited several mil-lion dollars and decided to give a million of it to an Orphanage, and how this would be a good day for him. I agree. Unlike the democrats’ beliefs, you get your reward from God for giving by doing it yourself voluntarily, and not having it taken from you in advance. I would also say that if I get money from my parents when they die and give a few hundred thousand to charity, it goes to my heavenly account. If they give the money straight to the orphanage and by-pass me altogether, I lose out on the heavenly reward. Jesus was finally asked a question about Terry Shibo. He said that it was “asse-nine” to think that her dying was a “beautiful thing”. I agree. It’s horrible.
