Heaven Tonight

Get ready for the “blood moon” the most Googled phrase today.  Griffith Park ovservatory isn’t usually open on Monday nights but it will be open tonight in anticipation of total lunar eclipse watchers as well as Mars at its closest distance to earth, which would also put it at opposition and the most severe retrograde.  The lunar eclipse starts after ten and enters totality around midnight.  However technically calendars inform us that the full moon comes tomorrow night and the eclipse won’t be in prime time on the East Coast.  Passover is starting right now but Dr Levy informed us he won’t be doing the sadir till tomorrow night due to scheduling difficulties, which is permitted in the Bible.   He intends to eat nothing but unleavened bread the whole week.  So far Charlton Heston hasn’t been heard from this year.  We got stuck with a tuna sandwich I think gave me indigestion.  I got a Philly from Paul, and those things are known for their harsh smoke.  Everybody missed the Peace Sign final on Jeopardy.

I tuned into Sean Hannity.  Today he had a fourteen year old guest on who when he was four claimed to have gone to heaven and come back.  This story strikes me as highly bogus.  But I’ll tell you what made me the MOST suspicious of the story in that they said “Everything in his story conforms to the Bible”.  Since the Bible says not one word about ANMYONE going to heaven and coming back- - there’s a lie right there.  We are told that “I saw Jesus standing on the right hand of God”.  When asked to describe God he said “Well, he’s really hard to look at- - and he has the whole world in his hands- - so he’s pretty big”.  Then how could you possibly say “Jesus is on his Right?”  We are led to believe that gravity is the same as here and we are in humanoid bodies.  And yet he says “But we do have wings and we can fly”.   Here he really stepped in it.  Even if humans had wings as perportionately big as bird’s are with their bodies- - they still couldn’t fly.  I learned that from John Mulack back at the Palm Street house.  Because all birds have a much lighter skeletal structure than mammals SO they can fly.  Then he talked about the pearly gates of heaven.  He said “These are necessary and they are guarded with a legion of angels all the time to keep out intruders, because Satan has tried to get into heaven several times”.  So here we “learn” that- - Heaven is a finite, localized place and that there apparently is a whole other Realm that encircles heaven kind of like Ukraine encircles Crimia.  Then there is all that stuff about the miscarriage and conversations his father had with his grandfather when he was young.  I don’t believe it.   He also advises “You know- - there really is no Time in heaven, as we know time”.  And yet later on he said “There came a point when Jesus told me “You have to go back because this or that relative prayed for you”.  So here we know that “you don’t have the past and future all at once” or anything, but events happen that you didn’t know about and were unanticipated.   You’d have to throw John Calvin out because if Jesus changed his mind about whether he could stay based on a prayer of a relative- - even Jesus changes his mind.  Sean Hannity kept asking him question trying to bring him back to some kind of rational answer to things people want to know.  The lad said that “We are aware of everything that goes on in the world down here- - but of course have no power to communicate with anyone in any way”.  I think if I personally I had the experience as proported to happen here- - I don’t think my first instinct would be to make a Hollywood movie out of it and charge the public eleven dollars a person to experience my story.  With everything I have told you- - it still seems to me a long way away from material to fill a two hour movie.

Snow is predicted for tonight in Chicago.  You have to keep in mind in other parts of the country- - spring can mean drastic drops of temperature and a turn to more violent weather.  The temperature will drop forty degrees back east. Of course those on the right say "You see - we're having one of our most stormy spring seasons in a long time so this disproved global warming".   Of course there are times in our lives when "the winter of our discontent" seems to just go on and on.  That's how I feel when I look at my bank balance.  Last year around the spring equinox, Janet had this burst of generocity where she shared a lot of food with everybody.  It probably comes as no surprise that this scenario did not repeat itself this spring.

Actually they said something parents of small children have known for decades and that is not to get into an argument on an empty stomach with low blood sugar.  First put something in your stomach because our brains are wired to go into an aggression mode on low blood sugar.  It would seem that half of us are wired with “the confidence gene”.  Actually they tell us that one’s overall confidence is fifty percent accountable to this gene and the other half by attitude.  In other news they now have one of these sizemological devices- - that measures vibrations in the ground just in case an elderly loved one living with you falls “and they can’t get up”.   There is talk anew of hydrogen cars.  But you can’t just snatch hydrogen out of the atmosphere.  But you fans of the Hindenburg know that hydrogen is easier to obtain than helium.  You have to manufacture the hydrogen using electricity- -so you still can’t get around the power problem.  The only possible upside would be is if you can store more compressed hydrogen in your car than you can store a charged battery.   Google glasses go on sale this week with some question as to whether law enforcement regards them as legal to be seen driving in.

It would seem as if progressives have just “given up” on 2014 despite pleas from people like Stephanie Miller and Ed Schultz, who remind us that November is a long way off.  That doesn’t matter.  The media tells us that the democrats are going to lose both the House and the Senate this year and don’t even come out to vote because it’s useless.  Meanwhile we know how active states like Ohio and Florida have been in denying Blacks, students, and the poor the vote.  And personally, in case I haven’t said, this would be a suitable time for the US Supreme Court to step in and “Federalize the electoral process” just as in times of emergency, they “Federalize the National Guard”.   I would call the loss of our electoral democracy an “emergency”.  How about you?   But everybody just wants to be “left alone” as Howard Beale lamented in ‘Network’.  People are like lemmings and do and believe whatever the media tells them to.  Of course we do have something to get newly "Mad as Hell" about.  Now the talking heads are saying "There is nothing wrong with all the voting restrictions we have taken in many states.  There is no evidence that in 2012 for instance, Black voting was down due to voting surprssion".  I find that one of the most profoundly INSULTING REMARKS I have heard in a long time.  Because there was extrordenary work to get blacks and the poor to the polls in November of 2012.  So to translate the saying "There is no evidence of reduced minority voting due to our efforts" this would go something like 'Those niggers aren't going to get the best of us.  If they are going to come out to the polls to express their will, then we'll just have to Double Down on voter surpressiion they their spirit is broken", in the same they they bragged they were going to "Break Obama" and defeat the Affordable Care Act in March of 2010.  You know in Nazi Germany the people at large were amazingly docile and they were almost looking for an Excuse to believe whatever propaganda "the regeime" put forth.  This “roll over and play dead” philosophy extends to the Ukraine.  The Russian sympathizers are strengthening their hold on cities in the eastern Ukraine, and the rest of us are doing nothing about it, and every time Putin comes out on top.  We send in a destroyer, and Putin’s plane “buzzes it”.  And the nation of Ukraine threatens military retaliation- - and nothing happens.  It’s a disgustingly depressing state of affairs right now.  Apparently there are more anti “economic austerity” riots in France, where the people protest a little and then law enforcement comes in with their Billy clubs and “pacify” the area.  We lack the will as a nation to declare an economic war on Russia but are so addicted to fossile fuels- - we have no trust in our ability to come up with any sort of alternative- - and so even nations like Germany will not go along with ideas we have about how to deal with Putin if it means various countries will be cut off from their “energy fix”.

On Days of our Lives- - now Raphael is physically threatening Nick Fallon and it looks like this time he’s really going to beat him up.  So you’re thinking- - Nick is that guy who took Gabriel’s virginity from her and got her pregnant and then tried to talk her into getting an abortion and then married another guy.  What?  You say that wasn’t Nick?  Oh - -that was Will Horton.  Raphael when he first learned of the pregnancy and that Nick was responsible was furious at Nick- - but then when the truth came out and it turned out Will Horton was the one who de flowered his sister- - then everything was all just fine.  Go figure.  Someone’s moral compass is broken.  We know that Teresa Donavin deserves to be in jail several times over.  The people she despises most are the ones who have done the most for her.  Dr Jonas saved her life and it’s because of Jennifer that she wasn’t shipped back to Los Angeles.  Then we have Nicole and why she isn’t blowing the whistle on that medical drug distributor - - is beyond me.
